Systems outlast individuals; culture compounds beyond single victories
Morrisey argues that sustained excellence requires institutional systems and cultural standards that survive ego, personnel changes, and market cycles—not heroic individual effort or one-time breakthroughs. Across domains from sports dynasties to private markets to space exploration, he reveals that competitive advantage accrues to organizations that embed their values into processes so deeply that excellence persists when founders leave and conditions shift.
