RainFocus on July 14 announced two new integrations with Adobe Experience Manager: the AEM Sites Connector and the AEM Content Advisor. The additions extend a content supply chain that already includes a RainFocus and Adobe Workfront Fusion integration, giving enterprise event teams a connected pipeline that runs from project intake through web publishing without manual data handoffs, according to the company's announcement on PR Newswire.

The platform hosts more than 10,000 events annually and earned a Leader designation in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Event Marketing and Management Platforms for the third consecutive year. The new integrations are designed specifically for the operational pain points those teams face: duplicate data entry, asset version sprawl, and delayed website updates when speaker or session details change.

What each integration does

The Sites Connector maps RainFocus data fields, session titles, speaker bios, exhibitor profiles, directly to AEM Content Fragments using the platform's native authoring environment. Updates can be pushed on demand or on a configured schedule, removing the need for a developer or content manager to manually replicate changes across web properties. For teams managing a large user conference with thousands of speaker profiles, that means real-time accuracy without proportional staffing increases.

The Content Advisor takes a different angle. Instead of pushing event data into AEM, it pulls approved AEM assets into the RainFocus interface through a native modal browser. Marketers building event emails or landing pages can search that library using natural language descriptions rather than exact file names or metadata strings, a function powered by AI-powered semantic search built into the integration. Only assets that have been individually approved in AEM Assets are visible, which enforces brand compliance at the point of creation rather than in a downstream review cycle.

Brand governance enforced at the point of creation is structurally stronger than brand governance enforced in review, the new Content Advisor bets on exactly that principle.

The Workfront Fusion integration, announced earlier, handles the upstream portion: automatically creating events in RainFocus from approved Workfront requests, standardizing templates, and automating handoffs between planning and production teams. Together the three integrations cover the full arc from a marketing brief through a published event web page.

The operational case for a closed-loop event content chain

Enterprise event programs generate a high volume of content updates on short timelines. A single field marketing series across a dozen regions can involve hundreds of asset variations, localized speaker bios, and regional compliance requirements. Without a connected system, those updates typically involve email threads, shared drives, and manual CMS edits that are both slow and error-prone.

Stephen Ratpojanakul, Senior Director of Digital Strategy for Tech, Manufacturing, and B2B at Adobe, told PR Newswire that extending AEM into in-person event workflows means customer conferences and field events can now be brand-compliant and data-rich in the same way digital campaigns are. That framing positions the integrations not as an event-management convenience but as a gap closure in the broader digital experience stack.

Marius Milcher, VP of Platform Strategy and AI at RainFocus, described the architectural intent as moving clients from manual data management to strategic, data-driven decision-making, per the same announcement. The phrase reflects a recurring theme in enterprise martech: the cleaner the data pipeline, the more reliably downstream analytics reflect actual event performance.

Implementation path and compliance posture

Both integrations are available through the RainFocus Integration Suite. The Sites Connector requires installing a connector package in AEM and authenticating via OAuth before field mapping can begin. The Content Advisor is enabled at the organizational level first, then individual users authenticate to access their approved asset sets. Neither route requires custom development work, which matters for enterprise teams operating under change-management constraints.

RainFocus maintains ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 Type II compliance across all five trust criteria, a relevant detail for procurement and security teams evaluating the platform alongside existing Adobe enterprise agreements. Organizations already running AEM and Workfront can add these connectors within the existing Adobe licensing framework, though specific contract terms would require direct engagement with both vendors.

What this means for your team

  • Evaluate whether your current event web workflow involves manual copy-paste of session or speaker data into a CMS. If it does, the Sites Connector offers a direct replacement with scheduled or on-demand sync.
  • Audit how field marketing teams source assets today. If regional teams maintain local asset folders outside AEM, the Content Advisor's approval-gating and semantic search can recentralize brand governance without adding process overhead.
  • Check your Adobe licensing scope. Teams already on AEM Sites and Workfront can activate these integrations through the RainFocus Integration Suite rather than procuring a separate middleware layer.
  • For large-scale user conferences, assess whether your current speaker and session data architecture maps to AEM Content Fragment models. The OAuth-based setup is straightforward, but field mapping will require a session with both your AEM and RainFocus administrators.

Only 22% of senior marketers feel sure they can justify value to the CFO

Only 22% of senior marketers feel sure they can justify value to the CFO

Perion and Advertiser Perceptions found only 22% of senior marketers strongly feel they have the data to justify marketing's value to their CFO. The survey covered 167 U.S. and Canadian marketers with at least $1 million in annual ad spend. Marketing and finance still define growth differently.

  • 01The 22% figure is one of the few public reference points for how confident senior marketers feel about the data they bring to finance; most surveyed did not feel that strongly.
  • 02The disagreement often starts with definitions rather than dollars: Marketing Dive reported that CMOs tend to define growth as revenue from strategic spending while CFOs tend to define it as profitability and cost control.
  • 03A marketing investment committee that includes finance, meets on a fixed cadence and uses jointly agreed KPIs is the structure BCG has seen at companies that manage the gap. Without it, BCG notes, finance typically has no role in checking how marketing's metrics are built.

Retailers need a separate Performance Max campaign for Google's new local shopper setting

Retailers need a separate Performance Max campaign for Google's new local shopper setting

Google is adding Local Customer Optimization to Performance Max and bringing Store Sales into Google Ads Data Manager at the end of September. The new store-traffic setting won't work on campaigns tied to a Merchant Center feed, so retailers need a separate store-goals campaign. Store Sales access depends on Google's eligibility tiers.

  • 01A retailer whose Performance Max spend runs entirely off a Merchant Center product feed cannot add Local Customer Optimization to those campaigns; the setting requires a separate campaign with only offline goals, which means a second budget to manage heading into Q4.
  • 02Google's Store Sales data window is a usable freshness benchmark: transactions from the previous 30 days are required for dynamic conversion values, and the previous 14 days are recommended, so a CRM that syncs monthly falls outside it.
  • 03Store Sales access comes in tiers (counts only, default-based values, or dynamic values from uploaded transactions), so the first question for any account is which tier it qualifies for, before any Data Manager connection is built.

The chief revenue officer now runs the whole revenue engine

The chief revenue officer now runs the whole revenue engine

Chicago Booth's Dan Frailey told Forbes in April 2026 that digital buying, a flood of customer data and investor demands for reliable revenue turned the chief revenue officer into a strategic necessity. MarketScale's read: the CRO is an org-design fix for fragmented sales, marketing and service systems. Security vendors Evolv Technology and Alcatraz AI have already filled the seat.

  • 01The CRO mandate now typically spans demand generation, sales, and post-sale expansion, which makes the consolidation of marketing ops and sales ops a systems-integration project as much as an org chart change.
  • 02Revenue quality, not volume, is the test Frailey sets for the role: revenue closed with the wrong customer churns, so a CRO scorecard that only counts bookings misses the point of the seat.
  • 03For buyers, a vendor CRO who owns both sales and service operations, as at Evolv Technologies, could mean the executive accountable for the contract is also accountable for the deployment that follows it.
