German Bionic has recently unveiled its latest exoskeleton, the Apogee, and customers are eager to know how it compares to its predecessor, the Kray X. In a detailed comparison, the company highlights the key differentiating features between the two devices.

One notable distinction is the chest strap. While the Kray X utilizes a padded x-shaped strap adjusted with a wrenching system, the Apogee employs a more breathable mesh material with a Velcro system for adjustment. Another significant change is the battery placement. In the Kray X, the battery is positioned on top, whereas the Apogee features a more ergonomic design, relocating the battery to the waist level at the center of gravity.

The Apogee has also undergone refinements to achieve a leaner and more streamlined appearance. Automotive parts and wider dimensions have been eliminated, resulting in a slimmer profile. Additionally, enhanced handles have been incorporated to facilitate device movement and donning.

Despite these modifications, both the Kray X and the Apogee offer similar functionalities. They provide 30 kilograms (66 pounds) of weight compensation for lifting and lowering objects, static hold resistance, walking support, and connectivity to the German Bionic IO data platform.

For those interested in empowering their workforce, German Bionic’s Apogee exoskeleton is a promising solution. To learn more about the product, visit germanbionic.com.

You may have noticed that we recently launched our exoskeleton apogee. A lot of people have questions about what the difference is between the two devices. I'm wearing the apogee, and I'm wearing the Criax. And we're here to answer some of those questions. So the first thing you'll notice is a different chest strap. With the Kray X, it's more like padded material, it's an x shape, and we're using a wrenching system to adjust the fitting of the vest. And on the apogee, you can see that there's a bit more of a mesh material. It's a little more breathable and we're using a Velcro system to adjust. Other than that, a big difference is where the battery is. On the kray x here, the battery is on the top. And on the apogee, we've moved the battery down to the waist level, more on the center of gravity to be a bit more ergonomic. Another part is that we made the new version a little leaner. So this one here has automotive parts, little knots, it out a little bit wider. And on this one, we've removed those to make it a little bit more slim, and we've also added better handles to help with movement of the device or putting it on. In terms of similarities between both devices, their functionality is pretty similar. Both provide thirty kilograms or sixty six of weight compensation for lifting and lowering objects. They both provide static hold resistance, walking support, and are both connect to our German Bionic IO data platform.
