In a major leap forward for aviation technology, the highly acclaimed Genesys avionics system has revolutionized the cockpit experience for the Blackhawk helicopter. Designed to address the challenges of failure-prone avionics, this state-of-the-art integrated cockpit solution has ushered in a new era of situational awareness and reliability.

The Genesys system, developed by XP Services, has emerged as the perfect partner for the UH-60 project, thanks to the company’s extensive experience in avionics. With its four NVG-compatible IDU-680 displays and advanced FMS, the Genesys system provides clear and concise information at a glance, enhancing pilot efficiency and safety. The system also replaces obsolete gyros with dual attitude and heading reference systems, and incorporates a three-axis autopilot for added security.

The collaboration between Genesys and XP Services has resulted in a cost-effective solution that brings advanced cockpit technology within reach for a wider range of customers. The streamlined Genesys avionics system sets new standards for the future of avionics, empowering Blackhawk pilots with unparalleled situational awareness and efficiency.

You want I've been fortunate over probably the last twenty years to fly numerous different glass cockpits. And this one has brought the new level of situational awareness. It's all right in front of you. The Blackhawk is a workhorse in the industry. But what it struggles with is failure prone avionics. Genesis system replaces a lot of the legacy instrumentation and provides a full integrated cock fit. XP Services was chosen as a partner for the U h sixty project because of their vast experience in avionics XP Services, the name tells who we are. XP stands for experimental pilot. That's how we began in two thousand six doing the experimental pilot services. Our main function today as we do certification. I got to fly the aircraft from the very first iteration of Genesis equipment installed in the aircraft up to the final STC configuration that we have right now. I flew all of the STC flight testing for the system and met every single goal, met or exceeded every single regulatory requirement. I have a hunt percent confidence in the system. The system comes with four IDU six eighty's that are NVG compatible. Our FMS has built in search and rescue patterns which is particularly important with the black hawk mission. It's almost like flying VFR looking at the IDU six eighties. We are replacing the obsolete gyros. We have replaced these with dual add of hearts. We've also got the three axis autopilot and that is just key for safety. As you can see, the avionics bay of the Genesys install is much cleaner than the original. It's the new Genesis GDR Radio, combines several LOUs into one unit and expanded the BHF ranges for military and civilian use. It's also very beneficial for this new system. Capitalizing on those strengths between the companies, we're able to keep our solutions very cost effective to make the system affordable to a variety of customers. We chose Genesis for the blackout because it is the most affordable solution. It is the most robust digital cockpit.
