Book Expo 2019 may be a great place to see the most recent paperback and hardcover titles, but for those in the publishing industry it is a place to strategize and enhance business.
This year’s event takes place at the Javits Center in New York City and runs until Friday, May 31.
The opening keynote roundtable, titled ‘Storytelling in 2020 and Beyond’ was hosted by Jacqueline Woodson, author of Red at the Bone; Kim Sayle, VP and Associate Publisher at Hachette Audio; Dominique Raccah, Publisher and CEO of Sourcebooks; and Genevieve Smith, Features Director at New York.
New to this year’s show is UnBound, a show that will help booksellers expand their sidelines departments and increase offerings to customers. The feature will focus on non-book products that can improve brick-and-mortar bookseller locations as well as e-commerce sites.
