Invite people to the channel where they will contribute. Send a specific first task with your follow-up so joining leads to useful work.

Before you start

You need permission to invite people and assign the selected role. Have each recipient’s intended sign-in email. A business title does not set permissions.

Steps

  1. Step 1. Open the intended channel and its Invite Users control. Confirm the dialog says “Invite people to” the correct channel.

  2. Step 2. For a creator or administrator, choose Standard & other roles. Enter an address in User email and choose Add email. You can enter multiple addresses separated by commas or spaces.

  3. Step 3. For a larger batch, choose Download a sample CSV, format your file to match, and use Upload CSV. Review the resulting Invite recipients list before sending.

  4. Step 4. Set each recipient’s access level. Use Admin only for someone who manages the channel; use an available Member/Standard or Contributor/VIP Guest role for creation. Check every row in a batch.

  5. Step 5. For someone whose job is sharing existing approved content, select Social user instead. Enter Email address and choose Send invite. This role does not include recording, uploads, Requests or editing.

  6. Step 6. For the standard invitation list, choose Invite users. Ask recipients to accept using the invited email address.

  7. Step 7. An Admin can open Admin → Users and check Invited for pending invitations and Active after acceptance. Give the person one Request to answer or one approved asset to share.

Check the result

Confirm the person appears in the correct channel with the intended role. An invitation sent successfully is not proof that the person accepted or completed their first task.

If something does not work

  • Pending invitation: confirm the address and ask the recipient to check spam. Use Resend pending invites after checking that you are resending to the right people.

  • Already a member: update the existing channel role instead of sending repeated invitations.

  • The role is missing: ask a channel Admin to assign it. Do not choose a broader role just to complete the invitation.
