In today’s tech-savvy world, KVM solutions are growing more and more popular, which is why they were one of the big topics discussed at this year’s InfoComm. KVMs are like a magic trick, letting you control multiple computers with just one set of gear. Belkin was one of the companies represented at the convention, where they highlighted their KVM technologies. The company is making waves with their storage and charging solutions. But they’re not just focused on convenience and productivity, they’re also focused on cybersecurity – it’s a big deal these days. Belkin’s secure KVM solutions are all about tackling those sneaky vulnerabilities on your desktop. To get the lowdown on all this cool tech, Pro AV Today chatted with Edward Deckard, Senior National Manager of Healthcare, Education, and State/Local Government in North America from Belkin, who’s been with the company for years. He explains Belkin’s technology even further.

Edward’s Thoughts:

“My name is Edward Deckard. I’m here with Belkin here at IncoCom 2023. We are really highlighting right now our secure KVM solutions and secure KM solutions.

We’re also seeing a great deal of traction with our storage and charging solutions. So, if a particular institution, whether it’s healthcare, universities, really all of the above, if they have staff that continually need to recharge, we give you a place to efficiently charge up those products. And then our docks, we’re highlighting docks as well, an array of different dock solutions, just simple USB-C universal docks all the way up the line to Thunderbolt 4.

As far as industry trends go, I would say cybersecurity is more of a concentrated effort behind that than we’ve seen in the past. And that’s where our secure KVMs kind of solve that last few inches of your cybersecurity strategy, that solution. We take care of the vulnerabilities that exist on your desktop.”
