However, Google can remove fonts permanently, and there is no guarantee of their re-addition or as updates to existing fonts. This may require manual updates in documents using those fonts. Adding custom fonts to Google Fonts is not possible, but users can contact Google to request the addition of a specific font. Adobe’s Creative Cloud service provides around 10,000 fonts, which can be activated and synced into Connect’s Adobe Fund section. Fonts activated in Creative Cloud can be deactivated in Connect, but to completely remove an Adobe font from Connect, it needs to be deactivated in Creative Cloud.

So here we are looking at my connect font screen, and we can see that we have got Google fonts up here at the moment. So let's have a look at that. And you can see that Google currently make around five thousand fonts available to use on a free basis. It's possible to use these in your projects. Connect shows these fonts as a personal cloud based library, and you can check for updates by going through here, and using add Google fonts. However, Google can also remove fonts on a permanent basis from the collection. And if they do so, there is no guarantee they'll ever be re added. Or if they are, they may be considered as a new font rather than an update to an existing one. This may require you to update documents you've used that font in before our plugins can auto activate the fonts in that file. We often get asked whether you can add your own fonts into Google, but this isn't possible. However, if you contact Google, they may be open to adding any given font to the service in the future. You can email them at fonts at Google dot com. That's fonts at Google dot com. The creative cloud service from Adobe will makes around ten thousand fonts available for you, fonts that you activate in your creative cloud will sync into the Adobe Fund section of Connect Let's have a look and see how that works. I've got an option here to activate the family of Moncerate. Comprises of eighteen fonts. And you will see that in a moment, they will sync into my connect. You can use connect to deactivate an Adobe font on your machine. But to totally remove an Adobe font from Connect, you need to deactivate it in creative cloud. So let's take a gender medium, as an example. I need to go up here and actually deselect it before it will be removed entirely. From Connect.
