Outreach earns Forrester's top score on 15 of 22 revenue platform criteria

Outreach received the highest possible score of 5 in 15 of 22 criteria in Forrester’s Q3 2026 Wave for B2B revenue orchestration platforms. Beyond the headline count, the 5s include areas such as administration and pricing flexibility and transparency, and the report outlines four agent-governance capabilities that can serve as a checklist: autonomy controls, monitoring, usage management, and outcome reporting.

Outreach earns Forrester's top score on 15 of 22 revenue platform criteria

Key takeaways

01

For sales tech buyers, Forrester’s 5s in areas such as Adoption, Administration and Configuration, and Pricing Flexibility and Transparency add context beyond the headline count of 15 fives out of 22, alongside Forrester’s agent-governance checklist (autonomy controls, monitoring, usage management, outcome reporting).

02

Autonomy controls, monitoring, usage management and outcome reporting for agents in production make a usable requirements list for any team letting AI agents update CRM records.

Fifteen fives out of 22. That's Outreach's scorecard in The Forrester Wave: Revenue Orchestration Platforms for B2B, Q3 2026, which the Seattle company announced on September 24 through Business Wire.

The count is easy to repeat. Where the fives landed is more useful to anyone who owns a sales tech stack, because several of them grade what happens after the demo.

The fifteen top marks

The top scores covered criteria in both of Forrester's groupings, Current Offering and Strategy:

  • Sales Forecasting
  • User Experience
  • Revenue Orchestration
  • Revenue and Performance Analytics
  • Revenue Context and Continuity
  • Prospecting Workflow Design and Execution
  • Opportunity Management
  • Conversation Intelligence
  • Content Generation
  • Coaching Workflows and Analytics
  • Administration and Configuration
  • Innovation
  • Roadmap
  • Adoption
  • Pricing Flexibility and Transparency

Outreach received the highest possible score of 5 in 15 of 22 criteria. The announcement names only the criteria that earned a 5, not the rest.

Governing agents that touch the CRM

For revenue operations and IT teams writing requirements for agentic sales tools, Forrester's four capabilities work as a ready-made checklist: autonomy controls, monitoring, usage management and outcome reporting. Outreach also highlights Agent Studio, which lets companies build agents around their own processes, and Omni Agent, which lets sellers and leaders ask questions and take action across revenue workflows.

From roadmap to rating

Adoption, counted two ways

Forrester reported exceptionally strong evidence of adoption across platform usage and business impact. Customers described large deployments, growing use cases and a rising strategic reliance on the platform.

The sources don't say whether that gate still exists in 2026, and agents make it harder to apply. A seat count tracks people logging in. It doesn't track an agent drafting follow-ups or updating opportunities overnight. Sales operations leaders who still report adoption as logins per seat will probably need a second number: what the agents completed and what came of it.

Ask any revenue platform vendor to show agent usage and outcome reports from a live customer deployment. Those are the capabilities Forrester singled out for agents in production.

Where the fit narrows

Forrester's profile draws the line itself. In its view, Outreach fits best where an organization wants better seller productivity, pipeline quality and forecasts at scale, and plans to get there through strong buyer engagement, conversation intelligence and workflows that are increasingly agentic. Nithya Lakshmanan, Outreach's chief product officer, made the case that revenue work is heading toward a single connected platform where sellers, leaders and agents share context, not toward one more point solution. A buyer with a single narrow need is asking something different from what a 22-criterion ranking answers, and Forrester states in its objectivity statement that it does not advise picking vendors on the basis of its ratings.

Agent Studio is the next test of this read. Forrester graded the controls on agents running today. The open question is whether agents that customers build around their own processes come with the same autonomy limits and outcome reporting.

Uniphore's new Marketing AI builds a small AI model for every customer

Uniphore's new Marketing AI builds a small AI model for every customer

Uniphore’s Marketing AI creates a per-customer “digital twin” using a small language model fine-tuned on that individual to predict behavior and simulate campaigns before budget moves. Uniphore says storing learning as compact model weights reduces token overhead versus repeatedly prompting a large model, helping costs at enterprise scale. The open-weight models can run in cloud, on premises, or hybrid, which can pull IT and security into the evaluation.

  • 01Uniphore says storing what each customer's model learns as compact weights, in open-weight models the enterprise owns, lets one model per customer run at a fraction of traditional LLM cost.
  • 02Uniphore says it compares actual results with simulation predictions at every campaign node, which suggests it could build an accuracy record over campaign cycles and gives pilots a concrete predicted-versus-actual gap to evaluate.
  • 03Because the models are open-weight and can run on premises, companies bound by HIPAA or data residency rules are the ones for whom deployment options may matter as much as prediction features.

Oracle’s 14th Gartner Leader nod and its AI plan to keep Eloqua running

Oracle was named a Leader in Gartner's 2026 Magic Quadrant for B2B Marketing Automation Platforms for the 14th straight year. Its roadmap adds AI agents to Oracle Eloqua without replacing existing campaigns, CRM integrations or governance models. Eloqua teams feel it first, one module at a time.

  • 01Oracle’s AI plan for Eloqua adds agents on top of production campaigns, CRM integrations and governance models, and customers can adopt capabilities modularly instead of rebuilding everything at once.
  • 02Before an Eloqua demo, ask which AI Agent Studio links to Eloqua are live today. Oracle describes that connection as planned.

Salesforce and HubSpot are taking CRM updates out of the CRM screen

Salesforce and HubSpot are taking CRM updates out of the CRM screen

Salesforce, HubSpot and Zeotap are pitching new ways to keep customer records current while letting more work happen outside the traditional CRM interface—from Salesforce context and actions inside tools like Slack and Claude, to HubSpot’s self-updating Smart CRM, to Zeotap’s Open CDP that runs on the customer’s own lakehouse. The practical test for CRM owners is whether agents work from complete records and leave a traceable change history. Per-resolution pricing for AI agents raises the stakes.

  • 01CRM data is being integrated into AI and collaboration tools by companies like Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • 02This change allows more users to edit and access customer records beyond the traditional CRM screen.
  • 03Across Salesforce, HubSpot and Zeotap, different approaches aim to make customer records more usable: governed CRM actions in tools like Slack and Claude, self-updating records to reduce manual entry, and a lakehouse-native CDP that keeps data in the customer’s environment.
