Studio’s Social Sharing library and an external social post are separate steps. Adding an asset to the library does not publish it to a network.
Before you start
Use a completed asset approved for the intended audience. You need access to that media, an eligible publishing destination and permission on the connected social account.
Steps
Step 1. Open the finished asset in Media Studio and verify the selected version. Play the video or review the image before distributing it.
Step 2. To make it available in Studio’s sharing library, choose Add to Social Sharing and complete the collection dialog. Confirm Added to Social Sharing. Skip this step if it is already in the library.
Step 3. Choose Post to social, then LinkedIn or X when offered for the asset. Do not assume every network or media type is supported in this menu.
Step 4. If no account is connected, choose Connect LinkedIn or Connect X. Complete the provider’s authorization flow and confirm the intended account when you return.
Step 5. Review Caption. You can use a suggested caption as a starting point, then edit the wording, names, claims and links. Follow the length/error guidance displayed for that destination.
Step 6. Check the asset and account one last time, then choose Post to LinkedIn or Post to X. This final action sends the post.
Step 7. Allow queued, uploading or publishing work to finish. On success, open the destination post where a link is available and verify its text and media.
Check the result
The external post should be visible on the intended account. A draft, an upload in progress and an asset added to Social Sharing are not a published post.
If something does not work
An uncertain result: inspect the destination before retrying so you do not create a duplicate.
Reconnect required: reconnect the intended account, review permissions, and recheck the caption before posting.
The media changed: reopen the latest version and review the draft again.
A destination is unavailable: check the asset, account and channel configuration; use a public viewing link if appropriate.
