If you cannot request a revision, the button is either missing entirely or greyed out — and those two symptoms have different causes. Work through the section that matches what you see.
When “Request Revision” is missing
If the button is gone entirely, your video has almost certainly reached Completed. When an edit is marked Completed, the revision window closes and the Request Revision option no longer appears. At that stage the media is finalized.
You can still get the changes you want by starting a new edit from the finished video:
Your editor picks up from where the last version left off, so you are not redoing your edits — you are placing a new order. Your original stays intact. See How to Submit an Edit Request for a Completed Video for what carries over.
When “Request Revision” is greyed out
A greyed-out button usually points to the version you are viewing or the current status of your media. Check these three things.
1. You are not on the latest version. Media Studio keeps multiple versions of your video, shown in the version ribbon above the player. You can only request revisions on the most recent version. If you are viewing an earlier one, the option stays greyed out — select the latest version at the far left to continue.
2. The video is still In Editing. The version ribbon also shows status. In Editing means the video is with the editing team right now, so the option is greyed out because work is already underway. Edited means the video is ready for review and can be sent back for revisions.
While a video is In Editing you can still:
3. The version is still processing. If a version is loading, generating a score, or showing a spinner, it is not ready for review yet. The option stays greyed out until processing finishes.
Quick checklist

If you still cannot proceed, reach out to your MarketScale lead, or start a chat with us and include the video's URL — that URL is the fastest way for us to see exactly what you are seeing.
How will I know when my edit is ready?
When your edit is complete and ready for review:
Admins and the user who submitted the request receive these notifications automatically.
Pro tip. Review your video carefully and include every requested change in a single revision request. Bundling your notes reduces back-and-forth and keeps your project moving.
