Your video is marked Complete and you still want changes. You can get those changes — you just place a new order instead of editing the finished one. This article explains why videos complete, how to start the new edit, and what carries over so you are not redoing your work.

Why is my video marked Complete?

Completing a video signals that the edit is done, no further revisions are expected, and the video is ready to publish or distribute. It also keeps your feed clean and unlocks Saved Orders for reuse.

A video completes in one of two ways:

That window counts business days only. It pauses over weekends and holidays, so a video delivered Friday completes Tuesday.

Can I get more edits on a completed video?

Yes — by starting a new edit from the finished video. A completed video is locked, so revision requests no longer apply to it. Instead, you select that finished video in its folder and create a new Media Studio from it, which gives you a fresh order while the original stays exactly as it is.

Do I have to redo my edits?

No. Creating a new Media Studio from your finished video duplicates that video rather than starting over. Your editor picks up from where the last version left off, with the full history of that project. You are placing a new order, not rebuilding the work.

Two things carry over, and they work independently:

You do not need a Saved Order for the history to carry over. A Saved Order only saves you from retyping the brief.

Select your finished video, not the original upload

This is the one thing worth double-checking. The history only carries over when you build from the finished video.

Grab the right card. In your folder's Project Deliverables, select the card badged Completed — not the original raw upload you recorded or uploaded at the start. Building from raw content starts a genuinely new edit with no history behind it.

If you are not sure which card is which, the badge is the tell: Completed is the finished video, Available for Editing has not been through editing yet.

What to do next

Start from your folder, select your finished video, and click Create Media Studio. If you make alternate versions often, save your order first so every future version starts from your brief instead of a blank form.
