Key takeaways

01

Inexperienced organizations struggle with complex Salesforce implementations.

02

Strong advocacy and judgment are vital for aligning implementations with business needs.

03

Success is achieved through collaboration and informed client advocacy.

Salesforce can be a powerful growth platform, but its complexity can put inexperienced organizations at a disadvantage. Without strong in-house expertise, leaders may struggle to assess recommendations, push back on unnecessary scope, or determine whether proposed solutions truly support business outcomes. Over time, this can lead to overbuilt systems, excess cost, and decisions driven more by implementation momentum than by real business needs. In these situations, success depends less on technology itself and more on having informed judgment in the room. Salesforce advocacy ensures those decisions stay grounded in real business priorities.

That need for informed advocacy is central to how Meagan Diegelman, Principal at CG Infinity, approaches client work. In one engagement, her team supported a customer who had engaged another consulting partner to deliver a Salesforce implementation, despite having no prior Salesforce experience themselves. CG Infinity acted as an experienced ally—guiding the customer, helping them navigate decisions, and ensuring their interests were clearly represented throughout the project. This kind of Salesforce advocacy helped create alignment across all parties and ultimately led to a successful Salesforce implementation.

They really needed an ally and an advocate. I worked on a project where my customer had hired another consulting partner to deliver the actual work. CG Infinity came in to partner alongside the customer and advise them on how to interact with this other partner. In this scenario, the customer had no Salesforce experience going into this project and they really needed an ally and an advocate on their side that knew Salesforce deeply and that's where CG Infinity came in and we advocated for them in front of the other partner. And ultimately, the three companies all worked together to deliver a successful Salesforce implementation.
