Women’s History Month with Susan Post, Tennille Quinones and Sandy Wolf

Operations workers Sandra Wolf, Tennille Quinones, and Susan Post discuss the highs and lows of being women in the security and integration industry.

The fire, security, and integration industries are typically male-dominated, but women have made strides in bringing their voice to the table and adding a different, needed perspective over the decades. Women are managers, directors, and chief officers in the operations field. The number of women in these positions grows every year with improved work environments and open conversation.

How can women continue to celebrate success and their careers, while also still facing the prejudices of being in a field more associated with men?

On today’s episode of The Women’s History Month Miniseries, host Michelle Dawn Mooney sits down with Sandra Wolf, Service Manager at The Protection Bureau, Tennille Quinones, Director of Operations at Firecom, and Susan Post, Chief Strategy and Integration Officer at Pavion, to talk about the challenges and successes of working in the operations field as women.

“I was taught a long time ago by my mentor that a true sign of a good leader is someone who’s always trying to grow that next person to take their position,” Wolf said. “Whatever knowledge I have, I’m trying to give it to everybody else. I’m not going to hold that knowledge in, or anything like that. When my team wins, that is a huge win for me. I get to sit back, and I’m proud of it. And I know that I had a hand in that.”

Sandra Wolf is the Service Manager for The Protection Bureau, a Pavion company. She has been with The Protection Bureau for 21 years, and in the security industry for over 33 years. Tennille Quinones is the Director of Operations at Firecom, a Pavion company. Quinones has worked with the Pavion company for over 17 years in multiple administrative positions. Susan Post is the Chief Strategy and Integration Officer at Pavion and has worked in the security and integration industry for over 28 years.
