In an era where marketing organizations are expected to do more than support—they are expected to lead—moments of reflection have become just as critical as execution. Too often, teams operate at full speed, measuring success only by output, without pausing to recognize the progress already made or the strategic gaps still ahead. Industry gatherings like global marketing summits offer a rare but necessary opportunity to align priorities, challenge assumptions, and reset direction with clarity. What’s emerging across forward-thinking organizations is a shift from reactive marketing functions to proactive leadership roles that shape product strategy, customer engagement, and long-term growth.

This evolution demands not only new processes, but a cultural transformation rooted in confidence, accountability, and a willingness to take ownership of outcomes. For companies navigating complex global markets, the ability to unify teams under a shared vision—and empower them to lead—is quickly becoming a defining competitive advantage. At TekniPlex’s IPS Global MKT Meeting in New York City, leaders like Daniel Dutesco and Virginia Murray are stepping into that conversation, offering firsthand insight into what it takes to drive that shift from within.

Hello, Virginia. Day two of the first annual marketing meeting. It's the first one. Very important. Yeah. We had lots of amazing discussions over the first day. Yeah. Second day, the morning was actually really, really good. We got a lot of clarity on a lot of things. Based on what you heard today, what is kind of one of the the most important insight that you take away or that you found that you discovered in the conversations that we had during Yeah. So, I think it's a great question. Yes. First time coming together and really coming together as a team, and we've come a long way in one year. And I would say my biggest takeaway is just how much we've accomplished in one year. So I think we're constantly running and constantly doing things that we haven't really stopped to reflect. And I think it was just really great to hear all the things that the team has been doing and what we still need to get done, which has been a lot of conversations of really executing our plans and what we need to do next and finish off the year in twenty twenty six. Okay. And specifically related to that, obviously to accomplish all these things that we have to think differently, we discussed that a little bit. So what is it? Can you tell us a little about what is the the mindset shift that we need to have as a as a team? It's a big one. So coming again together as a marketing organization, I think the biggest shift we have is really leading. Right? I think a lot of times we're more in this reactive, supportive role in the organization, but really the expectation is that we need to be leading the organization. Right? Leading in the priorities of what we need to do, leading our product plans, leading the execution of our new product development, whether it's edge pull, e press deal, all the things we need to be accomplishing. So, to me, that's the biggest insight and the key mindset I said the key mindset shift that I would expect from our team is to really drive and and build believe in themselves in their confidence in in what we need to do from a leadership perspective. Amazing. Absolutely. It was extremely inspiring. Like, I I felt that same confidence as well. Forward. Looking forward to it. Things. Alright. Thank you again.
