Now, those three beeps were to warn you that your MMSI number has not been programmed into the radio. That is something very important because the MMSI number is used by the United States Coast card to identify your vessel. That's important because on the back of the head, you have a distress button after pushing and holding for a period of time will then transmit out a distress call to the local ships, as well as to the coast guard in a digital format. So at this point, you'll see you've got a satellite indication blinking. It will tell you no position, no time. This particular configuration for the video, we do not have a GPS antenna connected to it. If we did, we should be able to pick up our location. There are two menus on the system. One is a quick menu that's on the screen itself to access that you would use the row of buttons that are directly below it. This one will select channel or weather, We can then toggle up or toggle down through the weather channel. There's channel nine for the call channel for channel sixteen. The main menu, very simple to navigate through. You use the right button to go in, the clear will get you out of it.
