In the rapidly evolving world of coworking spaces, Waterman Business Centers stands out as a dynamic player, offering a robust digital infrastructure that matches its physical expansion. It is not just about providing desks and meeting rooms; it’s about creating a seamless environment where businesses can thrive, supported by fast, reliable, and secure connections.

This concept is more critical than ever as the post-pandemic business world redefines what it means to have a workplace. Waterman’s strategic partnership with Extreme Networks underscores this, ensuring that the technology that underpins their centers is scalable, adaptable, and capable of delivering a strong return on investment. This innovative approach to technology has allowed Waterman to scale rapidly, moving from a single center to a national presence in just a few short years.

With plans for further expansion on the horizon, the vision is clear – a network of centers across Australia, with technology at their heart, supporting businesses as they navigate the future of work. This vision is the brainchild of Martin Reidy, Head of Operations, and Shane Owens, Head of Technology for Waterman Business Centers, who will delve into this topic in more detail.

Today we're at Waterman Caribbean in the jungle room and to give a little brief history three o waterman. We started in Narry Warren, Victoria, as a small service office space, providing space for a number of small businesses, From there we set out to expand and expand quite quickly and today we currently have six sites open with another three opening this year. So we've been using the Extreme Networks equipment since we opened back in two thousand and sixteen at our best site in Nary Warren. When we first opened our original center back in Dairy Warren. We quickly realized that customers want to make sure that when they're in our spaces, they're productive. So our customers want fast reliable connections. They want secure connections, to our network. They want their data to remain secure when they're working in our network or in our environment. So the extreme cloud IQ when utilized with the extreme fabric gives us the flexibility to set up the network in a way that will meet our customers' demands. Our partnership with Extreme has allowed us to expand and scale, our organization much faster than a traditional solution. We see every dollar that we invest in technology, generating a return on investment. And we've seen that in in many facets across the business. Today, when we consider opening a new center, we know that it's only going to take three days or less to deploy and configure and test the entire network at a new site. And most of that time is just the physical installation From a programming perspective, we load a simple template and the fabric builds itself. Our plans for future growth in the short term is to twenty five centers open by two thousand and twenty five, and our long term goal is to have a total of two hundred centers open across Australia. The scalability of the network infrastructure that you have with the extreme means that there is no significant changes required to the core of our network to continue to add size.
