It’s been months since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and its impact has made people all around the world more aware than ever of the necessity for health and safety measures. This awareness has prompted a huge demand for touchless technology, which could step up to answer those primary concerns in a way that will endure beyond the current pandemic.

Michael Goldman, President of Aquaverve, talked about why touchless solutions could be a permanent fixture in the future of facilities management.

“For the past four to five months, touchless solutions, including water coolers and dispensers, have absolutely become the most important consideration in facilities management,” Goldman said.

Aquaverve has been working internationally with schools, hospitals, manufacturers, and offices to supply them with PPE and touchless solutions, and the safety benefits of utilizing touchless technology in high-traffic commodities like water coolers could lead to a healthier environment even after the pandemic.

“While the current circumstances have certainly created an immediate and radical change in the thinking and purchasing parameters of our customers, from a longer-term perspective it has also created an awareness of the impact a facility can have on overall well-being of the workplace and of their customers,” he said.

This attitude can be extended to many areas of a business facility, public location, school, etc. – touchless displays and more might become the new norm in ensuring elevated attention to health and safety is met with action.
