03

Daniel Dutesco emphasized clarity and leadership as foundational to sustaining marketing momentum.

At a time when marketing organizations are being pushed to deliver faster, clearer, and more measurable impact, internal alignment has become just as critical as external messaging. Gatherings like TekniPlex’s first annual marketing meeting—set against the energetic backdrop of New York City—highlight how environment and intention can shape strategic momentum. What emerged most strongly from the discussions was a renewed emphasis on clarity: not just in goals, but in expectations around speed, ownership, and results.

Equally important was a cultural shift toward proactive leadership, where marketers are empowered to make decisions rather than wait for direction, reinforcing that leadership is not a title but a responsibility. Perhaps most encouraging, however, was the recognition of deep expertise within the team itself—an often underutilized asset that, when activated, can drive real transformation. Building on these themes of clarity, leadership, and confidence, Daniel Dutesco, Global Marketing Director and Demand Generation at TekniPlex, shares his perspective from the IPS Global MKT Meet NYC 2026.

So hello. First day, day and a half of the first annual marketing meeting. We've had a great time. We are in Weehawken, New Jersey right across the river from Manhattan. Incredible venue, incredible inspiration to feel all the energy coming from New York. In all the different discussions there were, I've asked this of the different team members, we just talked to Virginia as well, there were two things that stood For me it was, first is clarity. Clarity does from the ask that came from the leadership team in terms of what is expected from the marketing team and the speed and create that we need to move at and the momentum and impact that we need to deliver to the organization. The second part of it is, and Virginia touched on it, is the shift. It's really around leadership and the expectation that we lead all the decisions regarding to what were our responsibilities not be in a waiting mode. So it's really that leadership is a privilege, we need to take it seriously and we need to act and move things forward at the momentum that needs to be created. Third thing, I lied, third thing. The third thing is in listening to everybody and hearing everybody exchange, it's clear about the expertise that is in the room and for me personally it gives me the confidence that the team is there, can deliver the results that are that are needed from the organization that the leadership wants us to to achieve.
