Every year, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) showcases the latest interior and exterior design products during its presentation of the New American Remodel.
Invitees were welcomed to tour a remodeled home outfitted with dozens of new building techniques. At the most recent edition of this event last month, AGS Stainless Steel provided custom railing both inside and outside of the home in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“Inside we have our top-mounted Olympus infill with our flat top rail. At the top of the stairs there’s a welded connection to the guard rail,” Estimating Lead Dan Wimmer said. “Outside we have our side-mounted post.”
This event was far more than a simple open house, however. AGS Stainless took part in a presentation to more than 40 home builders from all over the country.
“We were talking about the design-build industry and how builders can implement some of the tools that architects use in laying out their projects,” Director of Sales and Marketing Kevin Harris said.
This opportunity provided the company an forum to educate attendees not on product details but successful business practices.
“[AGS is] bringing in contractors and builders to be able to provide CSI (Construction Specification Institute) files so they can send it out to their subs (subcontractors) and they can get the quality their clients are looking for,” Wimmer added.
Being selected by the NAHB put AGS among other elite design firms and provided a learning opportunity as well.
“There are a number of other companies that are selected to participate and show off what’s new, what’s great, what’s latest and this home gives us an opportunity to show off those great products,” Harris said.
