Connect Fonts offers an intuitive font management solution through on-demand activation. It provides a seamless font menu experience within popular design applications like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch. Font activation is simple and allows for manual or automatic font control. There are three activation methods: temporary, permanent, and library activation.

Temporary activation allows fonts to be used temporarily during a project or session and automatically deactivates when you shut down or log off your computer. These fonts are identified by active labels and a blue status bar. Permanent activation keeps fonts active across all applications even after computer restarts and can be recognized by a green status. It is suitable for frequently used fonts like brand fonts.

Manual activation methods include selecting a contiguous range of fonts by holding down the shift or alt key and clicking, or using the right-click menu. For a non-contiguous range, hold down the command or control key while right-clicking. Entire sets of fonts can be activated by clicking on the set name and using the right-click process. Library activation is useful when multiple projects or a large group of fonts need to be activated simultaneously. The activation and deactivation processes are similar for sets and libraries.

Automatic font activation is facilitated through activation plugins installed alongside design applications during the Connect Fonts installation. These plugins automatically recognize and activate fonts within documents, eliminating the need to manually locate them. Plugins are available for Adobe Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, and other major creative applications. When missing fonts are encountered, the plugins assist in locating and activating them. In Illustrator, missing fonts are highlighted in pink with a diamond icon. By enabling the Expenses plugin and reopening the document, the fonts are automatically located and activated, ensuring uninterrupted work. Auto-activated fonts are displayed with an auto label and a blue status banner in Connect Fonts.

Using activation plugins with automatic font activation saves time and increases daily productivity by accurately and automatically activating fonts when opening files.

Next font provides intuitive ways to manage fonts using an on demand activation approach that delivers a manageable font menu experience within your favorite design applications such as Adobe and Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, and even Sketch. Phone activation is a snap and allows you to maintain total control of your fonts both manually or automatically depending upon what's needed. There are three distinct methods for activating InConnect fonts. We will discuss them and the advantages of using each. Let's start with temporary activation. Temporary activation allows fonts to temporarily be while working on a job or project until you shut down, restart, or log off your computer. When you return, all temporary fonts have been deactivated for convenience. Temporary activated fonts can be identified by their active labels and blue bar status. Permanent and activation allows for fonts to always be active in all applications even if you shut down restart or log off your computer. Permanent active fonts can be identified by their green status. Hermanent activation is best used when you need access to the same fonts all the time, such as your brand fonts. Let's talk about the different methods for manual activating fonts. To select the contiguous range of fonts, select holding down the shift or alt key and click. Right click to activate from the contextual menu. For a non contiguous range, select holding down the command or control key and repeat the right click process to activate. You also may want to activate an entire set when using the group of fonts within a job or project. To do so, click on the same name and use the right click process to activate your set. Library activation is also sometimes necessary if you're working on several projects or you need a large group of fonts activated all at once. Repeat the process just like when activating your set. Repeat the same process to deactivate your libraries and sets as needed. Now we'll talk about automatic font activation. At the time you installed Connect fonts, activation plugins were installed alongside your design applications. The plugins automatically recognize and activate the fonts within your documents without you having to go find them on your own. Activation plugins are available Adobean design, Photoshop, illustrator sketch, and other major creative applications. See the Expense's website for a full list. Let's see how they work. Unfortunately, without activation plugins, you might encounter this missing fonts window. The application is unable to locate fonts in my document and require some assistance. In Illustrator, missing fonts are easily identified by pink highlighting and a diamond icon next to the font's name. That's where extensive activation plugins come into play. To ensure auto activation works properly, I will go to the Expenses plugin and turn it on before reopening my document. Let's reopen our document. This time, you'll notice the fonts have been automatically located in active it so I can continue my work uninterrupted. When used properly, the plugin will automatically activate the fonts with one hundred and accuracy, saving you minutes every time you open up a file. This time savings will increase your daily productivity for sure. Notice when we go back into connect fonts, you'll see that auto activated fonts are displayed with an auto label and a blue status banner.
