Before you start
Have Request creation access, an approved question and an intended audience. A shareable link can be forwarded. Do not collect confidential information through a broadly distributed link without your organization’s approval.
Steps
Open Requests and choose Create request. Build the questions and instructions for the response you need. Set Required only where an answer is necessary.
In the form builder, choose Shareable link under Who should respond? Review the close date, notifications, response folder and intended content visibility.
Choose Create request link and wait for the result. In the guided conversation, finish Create request first, then choose Generate a shareable link. If setup is incomplete, follow its Continue setup or saved-request recovery action.
Use Copy link or Open collector. Check the Request title, company, questions, accepted answer types and any visible completion conditions before sharing the link.
Send the verified link with one clear ask and deadline. Example: “Show the three checks you perform before restart. Please send one response by Thursday; we will review it for technician training.”
Return to the Request’s responses to verify submissions. A forwarded link does not make the respondent a channel Admin or Request collaborator.
Check the result
The link opens the intended active Request. A respondent completes required questions and identity checks, chooses Send your response and reaches Response sent.
If something does not work
The link opens a draft or is unavailable: check activation, pause/close status and close date.
Sending or activation failed after a save: resume the saved Request; check your Requests before creating another.
A respondent uploaded a file but no response appears: ask them to complete the final submission and verify Response sent.
The audience should be restricted: choose an appropriate invitation or access-controlled route rather than assuming the link is private.
