Happy Friday, Matt. Happy Friday. Happy Friday. Happy Friday. We're back at it. Another Friday fun with Matt and Mike. You ready for this one today? Let's do it, man. I'm I'm Let's do more fun. I'm excited. It's a Friday. It's Friday. Oh, good. Good. Good. Good. So okay. I'm gonna give you five golfing scenarios Okay. At five different golf courses on five different holes. Where I'm a golfer or something? You're the golfer. Okay. I'm the golfer. Okay. You're gonna get a hole in one on this hole, and you have to rate what you think your experience would be. One to five. Okay. K. Oh, jeez. Okay. First one is a hole in one on number seven at Pebble Beach. Oh, I'm ecstatic. I'm playing Pebble Beach. That's awesome. The wind's blowing in your face. Thirty five mile per hour. Oh. Headway. Gee. Hey. You still get a hold of one, though. Headway. That's awesome. Just popped up there. I don't know what else is coming at me, but that's pretty damn good. I jeez. It's kind of two. Two. That's pretty freaking cool. Nice pebble beach. Okay. Second one, seventeenth at TPC Sawgrass. That's cool. Ton of fun, iconic golf course, but I think it's public. Whistles Pebble. But I'm gonna go three. Yeah. Three. Three is a good one. Three. Next one, number sixteen at TPC Scottsdale Waste Management. Oh. Crowd roaring. Oh, yeah. Like Sunday. Like, I'm a PGA Tour player. Everywhere. Sunday, two thirty in the afternoon. So this is either a one or a five. For those that just hate how that does the golf when it's been doing the golf, they'll hate it. But I think it just the the excitement there, the TV, everything's a little crazy, full crowd, beers getting dumped on you. Why don't I feel like you're, one of the Kelseys Roberts for a touchdown? There's one right now. This is number one. This is one. There you go. I I'm not giving your answer for you, but Yeah. That's a good answer. Yeah. Okay. Next one, the extreme nineteen at, Legends Golf Course in South Africa. Oh, this is the one you tee off from, like, a cliff, and it's like a hundred yard hole, but it doesn't travel four thousand feet or You got it. You got it. Holy cow. Just to be playing golf in Africa would be pretty sweet. But I've already done one, two, and three. This is such a unique hole four. That'd be the worst. One. Yeah. Well, next one is hole eighteen at Saint Andrews. It's a par four, about three hundred and fifty yards, but you get a hole because I can't get it that far. I can't I can't get it that far. I it's gotta be five because that's where we're at, but just happy to play Saint Andrews. You done goofed. That's a good one. Alright.

As World Cup arrives in the US, creator-access clauses reshape broadcast rights deals

As World Cup arrives in the US, creator-access clauses reshape broadcast rights deals

FIFA's broadcast strategy for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico represents the most structurally complex rights package in the tournament's history. Deals now span over 220 territories, include a live-streaming partnership with YouTube, and formally embed creator access into rights frameworks for the first time. Meanwhile, Fox Sports' legacy deal — secured in 2015 for $485 million — has become what Observer describes as the broadcast bargain of the century, setting up dramatically higher price expectations in the next rights cycle.

  • 01FIFA secured broadcast agreements in over 220 territories, with a Dallas-based International Broadcast Centre distributing roughly 8,000 hours of additional non-live content, according to FIFA.
  • 02Fox Sports pays $485 million for US rights to a tournament Observer estimates is worth more than three times that figure — making it likely the last major sports broadcast deal secured at a deep discount.
  • 03FIFA's first-ever global creator programme and a preferred-platform deal with YouTube — allowing broadcasters to stream the first 10 minutes of every match plus select full games — mark a structural shift in how rights are packaged.
