At AMAG Technology, being customer-obsessed goes beyond a mindset—it’s built into every part of the operation. One of the company’s greatest strengths lies in its ability to manufacture its own products, offering a level of supply chain control that few competitors can match.

Allan Price, Head of Global Supply Chain at AMAG, emphasizes how this control translates into real benefits for customers. From navigating the disruptions of the COVID era to maintaining shorter lead times and ensuring product availability, AMAG’s vertically integrated approach delivers consistency, speed, and peace of mind.

Rather than relying on a long chain of external vendors, AMAG can quickly resolve challenges in-house, keeping customers ahead of the curve and giving them a competitive edge. It’s this dedication to innovation, agility, and customer satisfaction that truly sets AMAG apart.

When I consider what AMAG does that a lot of our competitors don't, one of the key advantages that we have is that we manufacture our own products. I joined the business at the height of COVID where, from a supply chain perspective, we were facing unprecedented challenges in terms of the availability of both components and shipping availability. Anything that could go wrong in a supply chain went wrong. And one of the massive advantages we have was that we have much greater control over our own supply chain. So when our customers are dealing with us, they can deal with a supply chain that's shorter and with somebody who's got more control over it, which in turn gives them a competitive advantage over their over their competitors. So one of the key strengths we have is the control we have over our supply chain. When we have something go wrong within AMAG, it's not me making a hundred phone calls to twenty different suppliers trying to get something resolved. It's me walking twenty feet in that direction, talking to the guys and Bill who are building things and saying, this is what we need to achieve to do a good job for our customers.
