So prime month is the monumental time of the year. It's a ton of remember the remark welding. Right? Starting of the LGBTQ less community and the fight that they had for decades. It's also a month where I take personally some time to reflect on how far we came in as a country. It's a time recognize past struggles, past victories, current progress, and to often celebrate your unique self. It's a reminder that it's okay to be different and that social norms do not need to be followed. It's one of my favorite quotes that I'm actually thinking of right now. It sums it up for a pride movement and it says follow. It's you're lucky enough to be different, don't ever change. When I came out as a gay male and this was in my early twenties many, many years ago, I was really worried about my friends and family, but ultimately, I was really concerned about how it may impact my career growth. At the time I worked for a very large conservative global organization, and it was not within the norm to come out as a gay or less than individual in our workforce. I struggled, I want to come across as genuine and honest to myself and to others. And I was also concerned about how it would have in impact on my career growth. Today, I'm the head of human resources for modern landscape companies. Twenty years later, I feel comfortable. I, you know, have a workforce that supports me and my peers and all employees at my So Primemap is about encouraging your colleagues and your friends to show up and be their genome cells all year long. It does not end on June you. Monarch created a environment where employees can thrive and be a pigeon himself. And that's what Primo means to me. On purchase buyers are assumptions, believes, and of types that people have on different groups. Some of the key features of Emkaki's buyers Really, everyone has them, they're not intentional. They can be activated within a fraction of a second. We didn't even think about it. We can hold biases against our own groups, we can help biases against groups of stated beliefs. Biases are generally shared within a social group, and then biases are persistent and can be changed with attention and work. So at Monarch, we are really focused on training and development. So we use a system called brainier, which is our learning management system, and we have a host of training to really educate our employees on an unconscious bias. DIB is a hot button for many organizations. So when I think of diversity, it's the presence of differences. So when we look add differences, that includes race, sexual orientation, different ethnicity, nationalities, disability, age, religious and political perspectives. When I think of equity, equity is promoting justice fairness within the procedures, processes, and distributions of resources within an institution our system. Inclusion is the outcome to those to ensure that they feel welcomed. Right? They feel value Inclusion outcomes are met when you or your institution are truly inviting to all. And then belonging is being your true self at work. Right? Being able to bring yourselves to work that it's belonging. It takes on the form of employees actively wanting to be their selves because they know they'll be celebrating and admired. And so that's really important during the month between them really resonate on. So that's DIB. When I think about our company. So Monarch is committed to empowering richer groups, social quality within our organization. We really focus on increasing representation of our people of color, women, the LGBTQ plus community, our Hispanic community, and our overall underrepresented groups, especially within leadership roles. We foster a culture that really celebrate diversity. We're working like most companies since definitely work in progress, but we're working on really building our education resources, so all of our employees understand how inclusive we are and how dedicated we are. To building those bridges and pathways. So that had some DID.
