The clinic was significantly damaged but fully restored to pre-loss condition.

When a tornado tore through Oklahoma City in April, BMS CAT was already on-site before many businesses even realized the extent of the tornado damage—including Valor Physical Therapy. Thanks to an existing relationship with Valor’s affiliated hospital, the BMS CAT team was positioned to respond quickly.

“We were actually on scene before they knew their building had been hit,” said Abby Whitaker, BMS CAT’s Account Manager in OKC. “We assessed the damage and began mitigation that same day. But our first priority was securing the property—making sure it was safe and protected before anything else.”

As insurance approvals progressed, BMS CAT’s turnkey service model became a major advantage. “Having one point of contact for both mitigation and reconstruction helped eliminate delays and miscommunication,” Whitaker said. “It kept everything moving smoothly when time was critical.”

The damage to the clinic was severe—half of the building was gone. But with a full rebuild, including new brick, flooring, and finishes, the facility was restored to pre-loss condition and reopened quickly.

“The Valor staff was incredibly pleased,” Whitaker added. “Helping them recover after something so devastating—that’s what we’re here for.”

When disaster strikes, BMS CAT delivers rapid, full-service recovery that gets businesses back on their feet.

So my first connection with Valor, Physical Therapy was we had helped their hospital in Oklahoma City with just some water damages and emergency restoration services. But outside of that, we were actually on scene before them, in the April tornado, and we were able to educate them before they had been, notified of their building damages. From the time that we noticed the damages and assessed the damage to the time that we, got started on mitigation, it was definitely, same day for sure. But the process of getting approvals and figuring out what coverages are and speaking with insurance services, all those wheels had to be turning before we could get started on mitigation, but starting to make sure that the property was secure, was our first step in the mitigation process. So being a turnkey service here at BMS provides a seamless transition from mitigation to reconstruction. It allows you to have one point of contact, and it allows for a lot less, hiccups in the project and get back to pre loss conditions quicker. So the staff at Valor, I think that, you know, you see half of your building gone, from a tornado, and to be able to get a new facility, all new brick, all new mortar, you know, all new flooring, and getting the property, back up and running just how it was before, pre loss conditions. So they were very, pleased to be able to see the results that they saw.
