The Voice of B2B Daniel Litwin was recently joined by Atmos Air VP, Operations Tony Abate remotely in the MarketScale home studio to discuss air filtration’s role in mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and promoting healthier air.

In particular, Abate said proper maintenance and filtration in both commercial and residential HVAC systems is critical in doing your part to help curb the spread of this novel coronavirus.

“One of the things that people should always consider is, in addition to whatever we’re doing to (curtail the spread of COVID-19), as we all know about the sanitizing efforts and efforts to enhance cleaning and the efforts for social distancing … The air is all-encompassing,” Abate said. “The air touches every surface. The air touches every person in any occupied space. It’s a constant.”

Because of this pervasive nature, treating that air is critical to combating the spread of an airborne illness like COVID-19.

Abate said taking a critical look at the ventilating properties of HVAC systems, filtration systems, the cleaning and sanitizing duct systems, and potential active solutions introduced into the space is part of doing your due diligence in protecting the occupants of your home or business.
