Icom’s Five School Communication Safety Tips

Hi. I'm John Paul. From Icom, I'm going to offer school districts five communication tips for a safer school year. Tip one, make sure that all staff have their radios set to the necessary channels and that the volume is high enough to hear alert traffic, but low enough that it won't disrupt your lessons. Number two, if you need to monitor multiple user groups that could possibly need assistance, use scan. Number three. Use an earpiece. This will keep you connected but also offers silence as you roam the halls. Number four. Connect with busing before and during arrival and dismissal. To ensure that the parking lot is safe before the children get there. Number five. Make sure that your extracurricular coaches and moderators know which channel they're expected to use and who they could be sharing the campus with so that they know who to call for assistance in case of emergency.
