Folders are an essential tool for organizing content in MarketScale: they improve searchability, speed up collaboration, and make large libraries manageable. This guide walks you through two ways to add media to a folder.

Note: Folders are NOT like the stiff file paths on your computer. MarketScale folders act more like tags or hashtags, videos can live in multiple folders without being duplicated, so you can view the same video in different organizational contexts.

How to Add Media to a Folder

There are two ways to add media to a folder in MarketScale.

Method 1: Add media to a folder during upload

Adding media to a folder as you upload keeps your content organized from the start, saving time and making files easier to manage later.

Note: This process also applies to other media you capture or configure in the platform, not just content added through the Upload tool. Right after recording in the Recording Room, or while setting up a Media Request, you can tag your videos with one or more folders.

Method 2: Add media to a folder after upload

Any uploaded media, regardless of when it was added to MarketScale, can be assigned to a folder at any time. That flexibility keeps nothing lost or forgotten.

Tagging media to multiple folders gives you flexibility for short-term and long-term organization, and lets you launch an edit directly from folder view.

Note: To remove media from a folder, click the X next to the folder name on the media card.

To view every folder in your Org, hover to the top right of the portal and click the folder icon in the upper right corner.

Your screen will look like this:

Select any folder to rename, share, or delete it. Selecting two or more folders lets you merge them.
