Today I want to talk about how you can find a video after it's finished and it leaves the queue. So many of you are used to using the video status button to check on your video as it moves through the process from ready to edit all the way through to Quality Control. Finally, when it's edited, you will find it here and then eventually it will be marked Completed. But you may go back here after a time and look for a video and say, Oh my goodness, it's not here anymore, what happened? Videos are not kept here forever. They do age off and so there are other ways you're going to want to look at to find your videos. One of the easiest ways is to use the search function up here. And say I'm looking for a video that had birthday wishes in it. I can type the word that I'm looking for and it's going to search through all of the titles, it's going to show me media that was input into the system, multimedia output, bulk media, content requests, and if there happen to be any companies or people with that name, folders, for example. So it's going to show me different ways to find my media. Now, I am not finding what I'm looking for right now, so let me try another word. I did this for ah, there we go. There's one of the videos I see, but look it, I put these in a folder. So luckily, I was smart enough when I created my videos to give them all a folder name so that I could easily find them again. Now, this is the video I was looking for and it says Sunday night. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the word Birthday in it, so that's why I was unable to find it. So if I wanted to be able to find it going forward in that way, I can update the title and add a meaningful word there. So make sure you're doing two things with your videos: giving them good meaningful titles and also using the Edit folder to assign them to a folder so that they can easily be found. Now, one other place that your asset could be is in the Asset Library. So if you have placed it here to share it externally, Generally, there's a couple ways you can find videos here. Let's say I'm looking for something with the name fly in it. Okay? I have not posted my birthday videos here, so that's one way you can find it. You can do the search. You also have your collections here. If you click on this, you will see everything in that collection. If you click on this, you will see everything in that collection. So those are the various ways that you can find a video once it's completed.
Overview
This training video, led by Gale Persil, walks through the process of locating a completed video after it has moved out of the active editing queue in MarketScale. In just over three minutes, viewers learn how to navigate to finished projects and find published content within the platform. The guide is designed for contributors and team members who need a reliable, repeatable method for tracking their video assets post-production.
What Is This?
Queue-to-published navigation refers to the process of locating a video asset within the MarketScale platform after it has completed the editing and review workflow and is no longer visible in the active queue. Understanding this transition point is essential for contributors who need to verify, share, or reference their published content.
What You'll Learn
- Understand how the MarketScale editing queue works and when a video exits it
- Navigate to the finished projects section of the MarketScale platform
- Locate a specific completed video using available search and filter tools
- Identify the difference between in-progress and published content states
- Confirm that a video has been successfully published and is accessible
- Access published video details for sharing, reporting, or follow-up tasks
Key Insights
- Videos that leave the active queue are not deleted — they move to a dedicated finished or published content area within the platform.
- Knowing the correct navigation path saves time and reduces confusion when contributors look for content they submitted days or weeks earlier.
- The MarketScale platform distinguishes clearly between content that is in production and content that has completed the full publishing workflow.
- Familiarising yourself with post-queue navigation improves overall platform confidence and reduces reliance on support requests for routine content lookups.
Deep Dive
Once a video completes the editing and approval process in MarketScale, it transitions out of the active queue and into a published or finished state. For many contributors, this transition can be disorienting — the video simply disappears from the familiar queue view, and without knowing where to look next, it can feel like the content has been lost. This training addresses that gap directly.
The MarketScale platform organises content by production status, meaning that active, in-progress, and completed videos each live in distinct areas of the interface. Understanding this structure is the foundation of efficient platform navigation. Rather than searching broadly across the platform, contributors can move directly to the section that holds finished work, saving time and reducing frustration.
Gale Persil's walkthrough demonstrates the specific steps needed to move from the queue view to the finished content area, highlighting the navigation elements that are easy to overlook for newer users. The video points out how to use available filters and search functionality to narrow results when a contributor is looking for a specific piece of published content among a larger library.
Developing confidence in post-queue navigation also has practical downstream benefits. Contributors who can independently locate their published videos are better positioned to share content, review performance, and coordinate with their teams without waiting on platform support. This kind of self-sufficiency is a core goal of MarketScale's platform training resources, and this video is a focused, efficient entry point for building that skill.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do completed videos go after they leave the editing queue in MarketScale?
Once a video finishes the editing and review process, it moves out of the active queue and into a published or finished content section within the MarketScale platform. This area is separate from the in-progress queue and is accessible through specific navigation steps covered in this training video. The content is not removed — it is simply organised under a different status within the platform.
How long does it take for a finished video to appear in the published content area?
The transition from the editing queue to the published content area typically happens as soon as the final approval and publishing steps are completed within the workflow. There is generally no significant delay between a video leaving the queue and appearing in the finished section. If a video is not appearing as expected, this training provides guidance on where to look and what filters to apply.
Do I need special permissions to access finished videos on the MarketScale platform?
Access to finished and published content in MarketScale depends on your assigned role and permissions within the platform. Contributors can generally view their own completed videos, while broader access to a full content library may vary by account configuration. If you are unable to locate a published video after following the steps in this training, reaching out to your platform administrator is the recommended next step.
