Guevara y Serran explican que en América Latina, existe un factor cultural donde la gente tiene miedo de mover datos o su plataforma de voz a la nube. Enseñar a las empresas a realizar ese tipo de migración es un reto para Ribbon.

“Hay empresas y operadoras que han migrado a tecnologías IP dotándose de sofisticados equipos de seguridad pero no llegan a usar más del 20% de su capacidad” nos dice Guevara. “Se hace necesario invertir además en entrenamiento y consultoría para utilizar todos los recursos disponibles en dichos equipos para enfrentar al creciente número de amenazas.”

Aún no se ha llegado a una normalización de los parámetros de seguridad entre los países de América Latina. Se necesita una homogeneidad de las medidas de seguridad para reducir la vulnerabilidad de las redes, tanto de operadores como de clientes. Ribbon, con toda su experiencia, puede ayudar a las empresas a ser más seguras, más homogéneas y puedan dar un mejor servicio a sus clientes.

Tecnologías como análisis de comportamiento y aprendizaje automático ayudan a prevenir y detectar amenazas a las redes. Con esto se reducen drásticamente las pérdidas como consecuencias de los ataques y se reducen también los tiempos de respuesta a las amenazas.

Guevara y Serrano también explican por qué la estrategia de seguridad para cada empresa debe ser personalizada. Debe identificarse cuáles son sus vulnerabilidades y además contar con soluciones dinámicas para poder enfrentar los nuevos ataques que se presenten a futuro.
