FFRA’s Sacramento-area pilot uses a “distributed collection” model for small and medium commercial film generators along the existing commercial service routes of 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, according to Recycling Today and Waste Dive. The Ontario/Inland Empire pilot evaluates a warehouse-focused collection model for large generators through the logistics network of Shorr Packaging, which Recycling Today describes as a national packaging distributor serving warehouse and distribution center customers.

Both pilots use standardized “Rack n’ Pack” film collection systems so businesses can separate polyethylene film at the point of generation, according to Recycling Today.
