Welcome to health care on air presented by Verizon. Everyone, and welcome back to health care on Air by Verizon. I'm your host Robin Goldsmith, global lead for health innovation and strategy. G for Verizon. So as you might have noticed, we're doing things a bit differently today. We're at the HLTH Conference here in Las Vegas. This conference also gives us an opportunity as a team to come together. So we thought we'd take this opportunity for you to meet our team that that live across the country, and that would be Gary, our fearless leader, Nick Sheeny, Karen Finger and myself, hear from them what they're seeing in the industry, what they're excited about, and learn more about, you know, really what Verizon can enable and and our PoV in healthcare. So we're that set. Let's go. Yeah. I lead a team of innovation principles, and we're focused on all the major market trends that are happening within the health care space. We cover health care, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, payer provider, So you can think of us as the the innovation arm, if you will, of Verizon. So focused on, hey, what are those next level use cases that are gonna prepare us for All this new emergent technology that's coming in the health care space. I'm Nickini. I'm a global need for digital health strategy and health equity at Verizon. I work with service providers across the nation to help them digitally transform their health care infrastructure. And the second hack that I wear is the health equity. So I work with a lot of underserved communities and organizations to bring better health outcomes for those communities by narrowing the digital health equity gap and addressing the digital care deserts that are out there. My name is Karen Fanger with Verizon Global Inter Solutions, and I'm one of our global leads for our connected health care ecosystem. So our team, we're a entrepreneurial team within Verizon where we take all of the rising assets and capabilities and really pivot those to help solve those big challenges and health care around. How do we help extend access to care? How do we help improve the provider of patient experience, how do we improve quality? How do we reduce costs? Another big area I'm focused on is enabling that smart patient room within both in the hospital and on outside of the hospital, I always say, why does the smart patient room need to be in the hospital? It can be anywhere. How can we play a role role in enabling that ecosystem and bringing that to life in a private secure fashion for providers and payers and med tech company So I'm focused, primarily on what we call the connected hospital, the intelligent hospital. In shorts, it is you you know, this next generation hospital, what would that look like? What would the environments look like? What how will technology play a role there? Supplement some of the the staffing challenges we're seeing and really have a a hospital, whether you're building a new facility or whether you're addressing legacy infrastructure sure how do we future proof that environment for all the use cases that are here and now? And then, you know, what doctors and nurses are seeing coming down the line. So we're Again, that connectivity neural network fabric that's gonna sit throughout to enable everything health care systems wanna do now and in the few
