What does confidence to act mean to me? It's going after our competition hard because we're better. We've always been better. Right, j Keller? Alright, sellers. Be confident. For me, confidence to act means having the support and tools in place to show up confidently be my job. It means that I'm armed with the right stuff so I can instill trust and confidence in those around me, both my peers and customer To me, confidence to act means that knowing whatever I do with regards to our and what's best for them. I have the support of all my colleagues and the rest of the departments within Samba to make sure that we providing that awesome experience and in helping our to our customers and ultimately just helping us grow as a company in in twenty twenty three. So I'm very excited. Confidence to act to me is all about trust. And the trust that I feel I have in all of our teams and departments and individuals that make up Samba gives me the confidence to believe that we're destined for great things in twenty twenty three. To me, confidence to act means be brave, share your ideas, kind of things, ask for feedback, don't be afraid of feedback, and just be willing to grow, and improve. Hey, team. What confidence to act means to me is having the courage to ask the hard questions, to take the risk and put yourself out there and speak up when you need to. And I get that confidence because I have faith in what we do and what we provide to our clients, and I've seen it. I've heard it. The impacts are real in there, so that alone gives me the confidence to act. Confidence act to me means just to go for it, just to do it. Put aside all of the the thoughts that come into your head of how is this gonna work, what's gonna happen, blah blah blah blah blah. You know, we have a great team. We have great resources. And to me, it literally just means making the decision to go. Sometimes the worst decision to make is to not act at all. And in this sense, set aside your worries, just make it My name is TJ Krecher. I am a customer success manager here within our larger success organization. And what gives me the confidence to act is knowing that I have the support and the confidence of my peers. And I know that if I fall, they'll be there to pick me up and it's what keeps me moving forward and it keeps me trying new things and pushing the boundaries of my role. Miss Jennifer Pope, and I'm a customer service representative. And what gives me the confidence to act is is knowing that I have a team behind me that can help me if I have any questions or if I need any assistance with anything. And I'm Nancy Luca. I'm a customer success manager for the workforce verticals team. And I actually looked it up confidence just to kinda get a little more information behind it. So the feeling of relief that one can rely on someone or something firm trust. And I think that's what we have been finding on our teams is that we if we have questions or if we have something that comes up that we need help with, we can turn to each other on our team and we can get help and we can reach out to team Samba if we have some questions, and they and they are also there to help us out. So that is where I I get my confidence to act. Thanks, guys. Andrea Snyder, customer success manager on the channel partner vertical. What gives me confidence to act is it it kind of comes internally. It comes from being a customer success manager to some of our largest and most strategic Samba accounts. Those customers trust in us They want us to be their trusted adviser. And knowing that gives me the confidence to act almost on their behalf. And then along with all of my three colleagues here, knowing that I have the support from my team, not only my direct team, but teams across the organization to collaborate with. This is Catherine Moore from the insurance vertical. Our team has a solid foundation of support and dependability. We equip each other to to support our customers showing strength in numbers. These are the words that give us the confidence to act. Knowledge. Insight. Confirmity. Very, worry. Frost, clarity. Collaboration. Volorability. Fashion. And inspiration. And with all of these words, this leads to great teamwork. As Catherine mentioned, the customers at the core of everything we do as a team, these are the words that we believe in to give us the confidence

CAS Automotive launches Damaged Equipment to sell fleets' damaged and end-of-life machines

CAS Automotive launches Damaged Equipment to sell fleets' damaged and end-of-life machines

CAS Automotive has officially launched Damaged Equipment, an on-demand remarketing service that gives fleets, dealers, rental companies and insurers a guaranteed offer on damaged, surplus and end-of-life machines. The service ran as a proof of concept from late 2025. It adds a fixed-offer channel next to auctions and trade-ins, though CAS has not published pilot volumes or pricing.

  • 01A guaranteed offer on a wrecked or worn-out machine is a new reference point fleets can hold against an auction estimate, a dealer trade-in or a parts-out before deciding where a unit goes.
  • 02Damaged Equipment now serves insurers and third-party administrators alongside fleets, dealers and rental companies, which puts one disposition channel in front of every party to a total-loss equipment claim.
  • 03The launch establishes the model and the buyer network but not the results: CAS Automotive has disclosed no volumes, recovery rates or turnaround times from its 2025 pilot, so the first test is a side-by-side quote on a real unit.

Distressed sales are 2% of the housing market, and that should change how contractors plan 2027

Distressed sales are 2% of the housing market, and that should change how contractors plan 2027

Existing home sales fell to 3.98 million in August, but distressed sales remain at just 2% of transactions with prices still rising, signaling an affordability freeze rather than a credit crisis. Residential builders and contractors should plan 2027 capacity around intact homeowner equity, higher inventory creating pre-sale work demand, and regional variations in turnover rather than cutting headcount for a financial downturn.

  • 01Distressed sales at 2% of market (versus roughly one-third during 2008) mean no forced-seller wave or equity destruction, leaving HELOC and cash-out renovation funding intact for contractors
  • 02Supply at 4.9 months and 5.9% year-over-year growth forces sellers to fund pre-sale work on roofs, HVAC, kitchens, and inspections to compete, generating small-ticket trade demand despite lower transaction volume
  • 03Year-to-date sales up 1.6% with 27% all-cash buyers and 15% investor purchases plus strong August wage growth (3.1%) and employment (643,000 jobs since January) support demand in rate-insensitive buyer segments
