German audio technology pioneer Sennheiser has announced the release of TeamConnect Bar, a high-end, all-in-one audio-video conferencing solution in a bid to address the evolving requirements of the hybrid work and learning environments, made more pressing in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company made this announcement at a special presentation from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut.

The evolving hybrid model of learning and working has necessitated the development of technologies that promote better engagement of remote participants, and Sennheiser has taken the challenge head-on. The new TeamConnect Bar aims to enhance collaborative experiences, with its launch representing a significant milestone for the company’s business communication portfolio.

Sennheiser has always been at the forefront of delivering reliable, innovative audio solutions, and this tradition continues with the TeamConnect Bar. Co-CEOs Daniel and Andrea Sennheiser emphasize their company’s customer-centric vision, ensuring that their audio products address the specific needs, challenges, and aspirations of their customers.

The TeamConnect Bar, Sennheiser’s first entry into video, boasts a range of features designed to offer scalable and flexible conferencing solutions. The product comes in two versions: TeamConnect Bar M for mid-sized rooms and TeamConnect Bar S for smaller spaces. The product’s scalability and flexibility are further highlighted by its compatibility with all major meeting platforms, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and its integration with Dante, a multi-channel digital media networking technology.

To boost user engagement and ensure high-quality audio-visual communication, the TeamConnect Bar comes with features such as auto-framing and person tiling. These enhance the meeting experience by giving each participant their own video tile, promoting a sense of inclusion for all participants, irrespective of their location.

Additional flexibility and scalability are provided through the inclusion of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) mode, allowing the device to serve as a plug-and-play device with the user’s preferred UC client. It also features multiple mounting options and presets that can provide basic acoustic adjustments depending on the mounting option.

To further bolster their portfolio, Sennheiser has also introduced an upgraded version of its Sennheiser Control Cockpit software, providing users with full control over audio and camera settings. In line with today’s IT security standards, both TeamConnect Bars and the Sennheiser Control Cockpit are password-protected, and communications through third-party media control systems are encrypted.

The TeamConnect Bar will debut at InfoComm, Orlando on Wednesday, June 14th, and will be available for pre-order later in the month through Sennheiser’s network of consultants, integrators, authorized business communication partners, and distributors, with shipping set to commence in the second half of 2023.

Sennheiser’s expansion into the realm of audio-video conferencing is a direct response to the changing landscape of work and learning. By enhancing collaboration and ensuring equitable, high-quality communication irrespective of the participants’ location, the company has positioned itself as a key player in the ongoing transformation of the world of business communication.
