This led independent school district is a large urban school district with about thirty eight thousand students. One in four soon to be one in three of our students are emerging bilinguals. They speak a language other than English in their homes. The biggest challenge of course is that when you have this influx of bilingual students or in this case, monolingual Spanish speaking students and not all of your teachers are bilingual or even certified bilingual. You need to find a tool that will help them diagnose analyze and quickly determine where that student is academically. We use I station reading and la Latura, to support all learners. So it's a balance between strong tier one guided reading expectation as far as practices, everyday reading, And then, of course, that teacher might work with a small group where I Station is used. Well, I know if you ask any teacher, What do you need more of? And for us, it's time. Time to look for materials, time to go on the Internet and look for something in particular. But I Station has it all. The graphics are so neat that kids wanna log on to make those connections. And so being bilingual is it's pretty powerful in in in a word, an I station does provide that support of my native speakers here at at Scottsdale. Eyestation helps support our English language learners in so many ways. It is very much a diagnostic so that we understand where kids need to be. We take that and then build our lessons around what students need, including filling in gaps, but also ensuring we pull from top, so the students that are high performing are getting what they need as well. When I do ice station, I feel so happy because I love reading and when I do show what you know, I get a high level of reading. It makes me feel happy of improving myself of how I did the last time. I Station is amazing. It is exactly like playing games. It's like a little game and a computer just with reading a maps and stuff. When I play ice station, I feel like I'm in the cloud. And then when I'm done with the side station, it makes me feel like I'm gonna jump off the cloud and turn into a superhero and just fly down. Eye stations' role in ensuring kids are successful and that teachers have the tools they need to ensure our kids' success is a large part, and it is just such a blessing to teachers to have a tool that takes something off their plate and makes it a little bit smoother to plan for what these kids need.
