A connector gives Brand Brain access to an authorized source. Connection, synchronization and correct generated output are separate checks.
Before you start
Use the parent channel’s Brand Brain with source-management permission, normally an authorized channel Admin. Confirm which external account and material should be available.
Steps
Step 1. Open Brand Brain → Sources and find the intended connector. Choose Connect and complete the provider’s authorization flow using the correct account.
Step 2. Return to Studio and check that the connector reaches Connected. If it is still Connecting… or shows an error, resolve that state before assuming any content is available.
Step 3. Open the connector’s options menu and choose Privacy. Select Admins only or Members according to who should use the connector and see its data, then choose Save.
Step 4. Choose Sync now from the connector options. For an active connection with a Refresh source control, use that refresh action and inspect the reported outcome.
Step 5. For a website, use Websites & links: enter the Website or link URL and choose Add link. Verify the intended URL is listed. A listed URL alone does not prove every page was fetched.
Step 6. For a curated text reference, use Knowledge Files instead of looking for an upload button in Sources. Review and save the resulting file content.
Step 7. Try a small content task that should use a specific fact from the source, then check the output against that original fact.
Check the result
The correct account should be connected, privacy should persist, and the sync should complete without an unresolved error. Confirm the information is useful through a real output check.
If something does not work
Access denied: confirm the connected account can open the original material and has the needed provider permission.
A stale connection: review the error, reconnect if required, then run Sync now again. Do not repeatedly disconnect a healthy source to force updates.
Sub-brand Sources unavailable: manage shared sources at the parent Brand Brain.
Sync succeeds but content is wrong: inspect the source, Brand fields and approved memories for conflicting facts.
