April 2026 brings the most significant discovery upgrade in MarketScale's history: a fully rebuilt search experience that lets your team find any piece of content by keyword, topic, speaker, or transcript mention -- instantly, across your entire library. Alongside search, this release delivers deep performance and security hardening, a clearer content lifecycle model, and a high volume of UI polish and bug fixes across nearly every area of the platform.

New Features

This release introduces platform-wide search with inline media previews, a new editor coaching data endpoint, and all content versions now visible to clients.

Platform-Wide Search

Your team can now search across your entire MarketScale library from a single interface -- finding content by keyword, topic, speaker, phrase, or transcript mention across media, folders, AI summaries, and more. Search results include an inline media player so your team can preview video and audio without leaving the results page, with full-screen support and click-to-pause. Results are fast and accurate, and filters for content type and date range let you narrow down exactly what you need.

All Content Versions Visible to Clients

Clients can now see every version of a piece of content -- including sub-versions, approved cuts, failed takes, and editing iterations -- directly in the platform at all times. Previously, decimal sub-versions were hidden from clients and only accessible inside the Proofing Room. This change gives clients full visibility into the content history without requiring a workaround or manual share.

Editor Coaching Data Endpoint

A new read-only data endpoint is now available that aggregates editor performance data -- including feedback, ratings, comments, QC results, and video scores -- organized by version. This powers the weekly coaching PDF reports used to support editor development, giving team leads a structured, reliable data feed for performance conversations.

Improvements

This release includes improvements to search accuracy and filtering, content lifecycle actions, dashboard and page load performance, platform security, the recording room experience, and the AI Writer.

Search Accuracy and Filtering

Search filters now behave consistently and accurately. Date filters correctly restrict results to the selected range, content type filters remain responsive after an initial selection without requiring a reset, and the sidebar counts now match the actual number of results shown after any filter is applied. These fixes make search a reliable tool for finding and narrowing content rather than a source of confusion.

Content Lifecycle Actions

The actions available on content have been clarified to reflect what they actually do. "Publish to Feed" now explicitly indicates that it makes content visible in the Feed. "Mark as Complete" finalizes content without changing its Feed visibility -- content remains accessible but is not automatically promoted. This removes ambiguity for admins managing content through its full lifecycle.

Performance and Security

Several foundational improvements shipped this month that make the platform faster and more secure for everyone. Pages that previously triggered redundant database reads now load faster, particularly the dashboard, approval queues, and feed views. Unbounded data loads that could slow the platform as your library grows have been replaced with properly paginated responses. Database indexes were added across key tables, making searches and filtered views return results faster. Smart caching was added for dashboard counts and feed data, reducing repeated computation on high-traffic pages. On the security side, raw database queries that were vulnerable to injection have been hardened, and the platform's initial load time has been reduced by splitting the application bundle so each page only loads what it needs.

AI Writer Reliability

The AI Writer no longer incorrectly shows a "transcript not ready" message when a transcript already exists. Previously, the AI Writer checked only one source for transcript availability and missed transcripts stored in a secondary location -- causing the tool to appear broken even when content was fully transcribed. The fix ensures both sources are checked before surfacing any unavailability message.

Recording Room

The recording room card has been redesigned to match the current platform visual system, improving consistency with the rest of the interface. A layout issue that caused text to break awkwardly onto its own line has also been corrected. Additionally, a crash that occurred in Safari when leaving a recording session -- caused by a cleanup routine that failed on that browser -- has been resolved, preventing silent failures for participants on Safari.

Dashboard and Navigation

Filter buttons on the Channel Media and My Media dashboard views have been updated to a cleaner pill-style design consistent with the rest of the platform. Breadcrumbs and active tab indicators have also been corrected. A loading state that varied in appearance across different parts of the platform has been standardized to a single consistent loader component.

Proofing Page

The Proofing page has received a first pass of visual and accessibility improvements, replacing legacy UI components with the current design system. No functionality has changed -- the update improves consistency and lays the groundwork for further improvements in upcoming releases.

Bug Fixes

The following issues were resolved across search, AI Writer, dashboard, folders, upload, recording, coaching feed, profile, and asset library.
