- Record on phone, upload via browser on Wi-Fi, keep browser open until transfer completes
- Approver role and editing brief are separate steps; brief lets you specify sub-brand, video type, orientation, publishing destination, tone and length
- If videos don't appear, check browser permissions in phone settings, confirm file format (MP4 or MOV), try smaller batch of 2-3 files, or contact support with phone model and browser info

Turn your team’s expertise into content.
Record interviews, organize footage, and write with AI on a free trial of the MarketScale platform for qualifying companies. No demo required, no credit card.
You can upload footage from your phone to MarketScale Studio and then submit it for editing. The workflow separates capturing a clip, bringing it into your channel and telling an editor what to create. This guide replaces the original July 2023 introduction with steps checked against the MarketScale Help Center in October 2026.
Record on your phone, then upload in your browser
Use your phone's camera app to capture the footage first. When you have a reliable Wi-Fi connection, open MarketScale Studio in your mobile browser and sign in. Choose Upload from the toolbar, give the upload a descriptive title and select your media through Add files.
Choose the person who will approve the content. You can also organize related footage in a folder and select available privacy or group settings for the upload. Start Upload begins the transfer. Keep the browser open until you receive confirmation that it has finished. The Help Center's upload walkthrough includes a video and additional details about organizing files.
Approve the footage and request an edit
Uploading and requesting editing are separate steps. If you are the selected approver, approve the completed upload so it appears in the feed. Open Media Studio from the media card and choose Request Edit Now to open the editing brief.
Use the brief to explain the intended result. Select the relevant sub-brand, video type, orientation and publishing destination. Describe what the editor should include, the tone you want and the intended length. Add a reference video or supporting files when they help communicate the direction. For a project with several clips or photos, use individual asset comments to identify names, captions or instructions that apply to a particular item.
Submit the completed request with Let's Create. The first edit request guide explains the form and where to review the resulting draft.
If selected videos do not appear
When a phone's selected videos fail to appear, the Help Center recommends checking the browser's access to photos and media. Close the upload page, review the relevant permissions in your phone's settings, then reopen or refresh the page and select the files again. The exact settings depend on the phone and browser.
If the issue continues, try a smaller batch of two or three videos and check the file format. MP4 and MOV are supported; a live photo may need to be exported as a video. Uploading from a computer is another option if the mobile workflow remains blocked. For further help, provide your MarketScale lead with your phone model, browser and a screenshot of the problem. The mobile photo-library troubleshooting guide covers these checks in more detail.
