Transcript

Hey, everyone. Elena Green here at MarketScale. Wanted to record a quick video for you all about your completed videos and where you can find them in Studio. So let's hop on in right now. So when you log in to Studio, you're gonna see your homepage here. You're gonna see a lot of content from us at market scale, some great videos, some great articles, you know, all about different things, but focusing on b to b, u UGC, and some really interesting topics that we think would be great for y'all to see. Your channel media, this is all of the content that anyone in your channel is creating. And one thing I wanted to highlight today, you'll see for this one, and this example right here, this icon up here in the right hand corner says completed. So once you upload your content, you put it in for editing. You know, you'll see this logo change from either in editing to edited. And then once it's ready, it's ready to publish. Hopefully, put it in your LinkedIn, your YouTube. Get that content out of Studio and posting it. You will mark that, video complete here in the media studio. And so once it is completed, one, you'll see this logo, but you will also see it show up on your home feed. This is a signal for everyone in your organization to use that content, you know, post it. Like I said, get it out of studio. Also, make sure that you're copying it to your asset library. Your asset library is up here in the left hand corner. This is where all of your polished completed videos should live. Use it as a resource for everyone to be able to jump in and pull great videos for them to use. So, hopefully, that answers any questions you might have about the difference between an edited video and completed, but completed means we're done. No more edits. Ready to ship it off to the world. Have a good rest of your day. Thanks so much.

Overview

In this two-minute training, Alanna Greene walks through the full lifecycle of a finished video inside MarketScale Studio, from the moment editing wraps to the point where content is ready for distribution. The video emphasizes the critical step of copying completed content to Asset Library so that the entire organization can access and distribute it.

Deep Dive

MarketScale Studio uses a clear status system to move video content through the production pipeline without ambiguity. When a video first enters post-production, it carries an in editing status, signaling that work is still underway. Once the editing phase concludes, the status advances to edited, indicating that the raw work is done but a final review or approval step may still be pending. The completed status is the final designation and serves as the green light for publication.

Understanding where completed content lives after that status is assigned is just as important as understanding the status itself. Completed videos appear in Channel Media, where they are marked with a completed badge for quick visual identification. This makes it straightforward for producers, marketers, and content managers to scan their channel and immediately distinguish assets that are distribution-ready from those still moving through the workflow.

The home feed adds another layer of visibility. When a video reaches completed status, it surfaces in the organization's home feed, functioning as a passive broadcast to the broader team that new content is available. This removes the need for manual communication about what has shipped.

The most important action after a video reaches completed status is copying it to Asset Library. Asset Library is the centralized, persistent repository for all finished media in MarketScale Studio. Rather than hunting through individual channels or project folders, team members can go directly to Asset Library to find vetted, ready-to-publish content. From there, videos can be pulled and distributed to LinkedIn, YouTube, and any other platforms in the organization's content strategy, ensuring consistency and efficiency across every channel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the edited status and the completed status in MarketScale Studio?

The edited status indicates that post-production work has finished, but the video may still be under review or awaiting final approval. The completed status is the definitive marker that a video is fully approved and ready to be published or distributed across external platforms.

Why should I copy completed videos to Asset Library instead of distributing them directly from Channel Media?

Asset Library serves as the organization's single source of truth for finished, polished content, making it accessible to any team member regardless of which channel produced the video. Distributing from Asset Library ensures consistency, prevents duplication of effort, and gives your entire team a reliable place to find approved assets.

How do team members know when new content has reached completed status?

Completed videos surface in the organization's home feed inside MarketScale Studio, acting as a passive notification to the broader team. This visibility means stakeholders across the organization can see what content is newly available without relying on separate email or messaging threads.

After mastering where finished media lives, explore how to organize and tag assets within Asset Library to make content even easier to search and retrieve. You may also want to review how Channel Media is structured and how to manage video statuses throughout the production workflow to keep projects moving efficiently from intake to distribution.
