Hi. So you have your brand book all set up. You've got your logos. You've got your fonts. Everything's dialed in. And now you have another brand under your company that you want to create some videos for. It has a little bit different branding or maybe very different branding. Did you know you can do that too? Right within Studio. So let's jump into our brand book. As you know, you're just gonna go to your picture in the top right, and you're gonna scroll down to brand books and saved orders. So we'll open that up, and here's our brand book. We have all our logos. We have our colors. We have our fonts, but we just need to change it a little bit, and I don't want to start over from scratch. You don't have to. Check this out. The three dots in your top right corner are your friend. So we're gonna click that, click duplicate brand book, and now it's going to copy everything over to another brand book. Now we have this one called duplicate of market scale, so let's give that another name. Let's call this how about we'll call it market scale two. Okay. So we've got that. Now we just need to go in and make our changes. So maybe instead of this logo, we want to add something else. So, of course, we click the plus button. We'll go out here to our pictures, find a logo that we wanna bring in. We'll add that in. Maybe we wanna take out this logo, click the three dots, and click delete. So you can see it's very easy to make these changes, upload different logos. Same with the color palette. Maybe I wanna stick with this blue, but I wanna change out this one. I'm gonna delete that one out, and I'm gonna add something new in. So maybe I want a nice turquoise to go with that blue. Anything that you need to do to tweak your brand book, you can do that right here within your duplicate brand book. Okay. Once I get done, don't forget to hit save. Very important. You don't wanna have to do this over again. Alright. Let's jump back out to our channel feed, and let's see how we can create a new piece of content with our new brand book. Alright. So same as usual, we're gonna jump into media studio. Perfect. We're gonna hit request edit now, and then we're gonna select our new brand book. So let's look for market scale two. So I'm going to be sure to use that particular brand book with this edit request. Now I'm going to go through, fill up my edit request just like usual, hit submit, and then I have a new edit coming with my new branding. Overview

This 2:56 training video by Lea Johnson walks through the process of setting up a brand book for a sub-brand or division inside the MarketScale platform. Rather than building a new brand book from scratch, Lea demonstrates how to duplicate an existing one using the three-dot menu, rename it, and then update the logos, colors, and fonts to reflect the new brand identity. The video closes by showing how to select the correct brand book at the edit request submission step so the right visual identity is applied to the finished video.

What Is This?

A brand book in MarketScale is a saved collection of brand assets—logos, color palettes, and typography—that is applied to video edit requests to ensure consistent visual identity across all produced content. Setting up separate brand books for sub-brands or divisions allows teams to maintain that consistency at scale without manually reapplying brand elements each time.

What You'll Learn

  • Locate an existing brand book and open the three-dot menu to access the duplicate option
  • Rename the duplicated brand book to reflect the sub-brand or division it represents
  • Swap out logos within the brand book to match the new brand's visual identity
  • Update color palettes and font selections to align with sub-brand guidelines
  • Save the configured brand book so it is available for future edit requests
  • Select the correct brand book at the edit request submission step to ensure accurate branding on delivered videos

Key Insights

  • Duplicating an existing brand book is significantly faster than creating one from scratch, especially when a sub-brand shares structural similarities with a parent brand.
  • Renaming the duplicate immediately keeps the asset library organized and prevents brand books from being confused or misapplied across divisions.
  • Logos, colors, and fonts can each be swapped independently, giving teams precise control over which elements change between a parent brand and a sub-brand.
  • Selecting the brand book at the edit request stage is the critical final step that connects brand configuration to actual video output—skipping it means the platform defaults to whichever book was last used.

Deep Dive

Managing multiple brands or product lines within a single organization is a common operational challenge for marketing and content teams. When each division or sub-brand needs its own visual identity applied to video content, the temptation is to build separate brand books from the ground up every time. The MarketScale platform addresses this with a duplication workflow that preserves the structure of an existing brand book while allowing every individual element to be replaced.

The process starts in the asset library, where any existing brand book can be duplicated through the three-dot contextual menu. Once duplicated, the new entry should be renamed immediately—using a clear, descriptive label tied to the sub-brand or division prevents confusion as the library grows. This naming discipline becomes especially important when multiple team members are submitting edit requests across different product lines simultaneously.

With the duplicate renamed, the next step is asset replacement. Logos can be uploaded and swapped without affecting the original brand book. Color palettes are updated to reflect the sub-brand's specific hex values or brand-approved swatches, and font selections are adjusted to match any typographic differences in the division's guidelines. Each of these changes is saved within the duplicated book only, leaving the original intact.

The final and often overlooked step is selecting the correct brand book when submitting an edit request. This selection is what instructs the production team—and any automated workflows—to apply the right visual identity to the delivered video. Teams that skip this step risk videos being delivered with the wrong branding, requiring revision cycles that could have been avoided. Building a habit around brand book selection at submission time is as important as the configuration work that precedes it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will duplicating a brand book affect the original one I copied from?

No. The duplicate is an entirely independent copy from the moment it is created. Any changes you make to logos, colors, or fonts in the new book have no effect on the original brand book or any edit requests already associated with it.

How many brand books can I have active in MarketScale at one time?

The platform supports multiple brand books simultaneously, so you can maintain separate configurations for each sub-brand, division, or product line your organization manages. The number available to a user may depend on account permissions and role settings, so check with your platform administrator if you do not see the option to create or duplicate.

What happens if I forget to select the correct brand book when submitting an edit request?

The platform will apply whichever brand book is selected by default at the time of submission, which may not match the intended sub-brand. If this happens, contact your production team as early as possible to update the request before editing begins, which will help avoid unnecessary revision rounds.

After configuring brand books for your sub-brands, it is worth exploring how permissions and roles control which team members can view or edit each brand book—this becomes important as more divisions onboard to the platform. You may also want to review how to organize and manage assets within the asset library more broadly, including uploading and tagging logos and brand files so they are easy to locate at the point of configuration.
