Missing email notifications in Studio is usually a settings issue. This quick walkthrough shows exactly where to go and which boxes to check.

About this lesson
Transcript

Hello. So I'm going to share how to fix your notifications within the Studio platform so you get notifications and your emails. So if you go to the very top right corner there, you'll see your profile picture. You just click in there. And then if you see edit profile, you'll go to edit profile. And then from there, it should pop up. And on the left hand side, it'll say notification center. So click there on notifications and just make sure everything's checked. So, literally everything from channel updates, to media requests, content's ready for your approval, approval content, comments and likes, content updates, declined content, and domain updates. All of these, if you check all those, you're always gonna get a notification for each of those. If you're not getting notifications for certain things, let us know, and we can submit a ticket on your behalf to make sure that, you're receiving, those notifications.

Overview

This short training video, led by David Dabney, walks through the most common reason users stop receiving email notifications from MarketScale Studio: notification preferences that are partially or fully unchecked. In under a minute, Dabney demonstrates how to navigate to the Notification Center inside your profile settings and enable all available alert types. The fix is simple, but knowing where to look saves time and prevents missed communications.

What Is This?

The Notification Center in MarketScale Studio is a user-level settings panel that controls which platform activity triggers an email alert, giving each user granular control over how and when they are informed of updates relevant to their work.

What You'll Learn

  • Locate the Notification Center through your profile picture in the top-right corner of Studio
  • Access the Edit Profile menu to reach notification preferences
  • Identify all eight notification types available in the Notification Center
  • Enable channel updates, media requests, and content-ready-for-approval alerts
  • Activate notifications for approved content, comments, likes, and content updates
  • Turn on alerts for declined content and domain updates to stay fully informed

Key Insights

  • Missing Studio email notifications are almost always caused by unchecked boxes in the Notification Center, not a technical error or platform outage
  • The Notification Center is nested inside Edit Profile, which is accessible from the profile picture in the top-right corner of the Studio interface
  • There are eight distinct notification categories, and all should be enabled for most users to avoid gaps in communication
  • This fix takes less than one minute to complete and requires no administrator access or support ticket

Deep Dive

When users report that they are not receiving email notifications from MarketScale Studio, the cause is rarely a system-level problem. In the vast majority of cases, one or more notification types have been left unchecked inside the Notification Center — a section within the user's own profile settings that is easy to overlook during initial account setup.

The Notification Center is reached by clicking on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the Studio interface, then selecting Edit Profile. Once inside, the Notification Center tab lists every category of platform activity that can trigger an email alert. These eight categories cover the full lifecycle of content and collaboration inside Studio: channel updates, media requests, content ready for approval, approved content, comments and likes, content updates, declined content, and domain updates.

Each category serves a distinct purpose. Channel updates keep users informed when changes occur at the distribution level. Media requests and content-ready-for-approval alerts are critical for anyone involved in review or production workflows, since a missed notification can delay a publish cycle. Approved and declined content alerts close the loop for contributors who need to know the outcome of a submission. Comments and likes surface engagement signals, while content updates and domain updates ensure that structural or administrative changes do not go unnoticed.

Checking all boxes is the recommended default for most Studio users. If email volume becomes a concern over time, preferences can be revisited and adjusted selectively. But starting from a fully enabled state ensures that no workflow step is silently skipped due to a missing alert.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why am I not receiving any email notifications from MarketScale Studio?

The most likely cause is that your notification preferences are unchecked in the Notification Center. Navigate to your profile picture in the top-right corner of Studio, select Edit Profile, and open the Notification Center tab to review and enable your settings. No administrator access is required to make this change.

Where exactly is the Notification Center located in Studio?

The Notification Center is found inside your personal profile settings. Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the Studio interface, choose Edit Profile from the dropdown, and then select the Notification Center tab within that settings panel.

Which notification types should I enable in the Notification Center?

For most users, all eight notification types should be enabled: channel updates, media requests, content ready for approval, approved content, comments and likes, content updates, declined content, and domain updates. Enabling all categories ensures you stay informed at every stage of the content and collaboration workflow.

Once your notification settings are configured, exploring Studio's profile and account management options can help you further customise your workspace experience. Topics such as managing channel permissions, understanding content approval workflows, and navigating media request processes are useful next steps for users who want to get the most out of the platform.
