So the question has come up. What do you do with your videos when you've completed them? Where should your completed videos live? So let's take a look here inside of Studio. Of course, this is where you're going to come to work on videos. Studio is your production hub. This is not a permanent hosting site. So what we've done is added an asset library where you can store those completed projects, and it's very simple. All I need to do is come to a piece of video content that I've completed and click copy to asset library. Now that piece of content is copied into my asset library, and I can access it. I can share it. I can search on the content in there anytime I want to. I'm gonna tell it to create that collection for me and move it in there. Perfect. Now I have this piece in that collection. So let's see what other things we can add into the collection. I can add in documents. I can add in audio images. So think how easy this would be to share with your commercial team. They can then share this link out in a email, in a social media post, and it makes it very simple to find anytime. Another thing that you can do with your market scale completed videos is you can add them to your own Wistia channel. So imagine having this channel embedded on your website, and every time you tell us, hey, this video is ready to be published to my video channel, it's added right here for you. So very much like a Netflix type of experience that your users can come in and find any video and binge through all of your content in one place. Another great thing about having this video channel is it is set up on the backbone of Wistia, and that means you're going to get a lot of really good analytics. So I can jump into Wistia and take a look at how often this video is being played, how much people are actually watching, what type of engagement I'm getting. So some great analytics all built in right here for you. Another place that you can store and share content is, of course, within your internal systems. So maybe you're creating educational content that could go in your SharePoint folders, that can go in your Slack communications. All you would need to do is download your video, and that is as simple as coming to the video card, going to the three dots here at the top, and clicking download media. And then I'm able to download that as a m p four and upload it anywhere I see fit, social media, YouTube, your website, any place that you wanna share this piece of content. So lots of different ways that you can store and share content that you have completed within MarketScale Studio.

Overview

This 3-minute training video with Lea Johnson covers the four primary destinations for distributing completed videos produced in MarketScale Studio. Viewers learn how to move finished content into the right hosting environment depending on their audience, analytics needs, and sharing context. The video reinforces a foundational principle: Studio is a production hub, not a permanent content repository.

What Is This?

B2B video distribution strategy refers to the deliberate process of routing finished video assets to the hosting environments best suited for each audience, use case, and measurement goal. In the MarketScale platform, this means selecting from multiple downstream destinations after production is complete in Studio.

What You'll Learn

  • Understand why MarketScale Studio functions as a production hub rather than a long-term hosting solution
  • Navigate to Asset Library collections to create shareable, searchable video galleries that require no viewer login
  • Embed video content through a Wistia channel for a branded, Netflix-style viewing experience with full analytics
  • Download finished videos as MP4 files for native upload to YouTube, LinkedIn, or other social platforms
  • Route internal videos to SharePoint, Slack, or other internal communications tools
  • Match each distribution destination to the appropriate audience and content purpose

Key Insights

  • Studio produces content — it does not store it long-term. Moving finished videos to the right destination is a required workflow step, not an optional one.
  • Asset Library collections offer a frictionless sharing experience, allowing external stakeholders to browse and view content without creating an account or logging in.
  • Wistia channel hosting provides the strongest analytics layer, making it the preferred destination when tracking viewer engagement, watch time, and lead data matters most.
  • Native uploads to YouTube and LinkedIn through direct MP4 download preserve algorithm performance on those platforms, which penalise external embeds in some contexts.

Deep Dive

Once a video is complete in MarketScale Studio, the production phase is over — but the content strategy work begins. Studio is purpose-built for editing, collaboration, and final output, not for serving as a long-term video library. Understanding where to send finished content is one of the most practical skills a B2B content team can develop, and this training breaks that decision into four clear paths.

The first destination is the Asset Library, MarketScale's native content gallery. Collections within the Asset Library are shareable via a simple link and require no login from the viewer. This makes them well-suited for prospect-facing content, partner communications, or any scenario where reducing friction is a priority. Content remains searchable within the collection, giving viewers an organised browsing experience.

The second option is the Wistia video channel, which delivers a polished, branded viewing experience similar to a private streaming service. Wistia's integration with the MarketScale platform means teams get detailed analytics — watch percentage, drop-off points, viewer identification — making it the right choice when measuring content performance or qualifying leads through video engagement.

For teams distributing across owned social channels, the direct MP4 download path allows native uploads to YouTube, LinkedIn, or any platform that rewards content uploaded directly rather than embedded from an external source. Native uploads typically receive better organic reach on algorithm-driven platforms. Finally, internal distribution to tools like SharePoint or Slack keeps employee communications, training materials, and internal announcements within the systems teams already use daily. Each of these four paths serves a distinct purpose, and choosing the right one is what turns a finished video into an effective piece of B2B content.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I just leave finished videos in MarketScale Studio?

Studio is designed as a production and editing environment, not a hosting or distribution platform. Leaving content there makes it harder to share, track, and manage at scale. Moving finished videos to the appropriate destination ensures they are accessible to the right audiences and connected to the right analytics tools.

When should I use the Wistia channel instead of the Asset Library?

Use the Wistia channel when audience engagement data matters — for example, when you want to know how much of a video a prospect watched or whether a piece of content is driving conversions. The Asset Library is better suited for simple, frictionless sharing where detailed viewer analytics are not the primary goal.

Does downloading an MP4 affect video quality or metadata?

Downloading the MP4 from Studio preserves the final export quality of the video. Metadata such as titles, descriptions, and tags will need to be added manually when uploading natively to platforms like YouTube or LinkedIn, as each platform has its own metadata fields and optimisation requirements.

Teams who want to get more from their Asset Library should explore how to organise collections by campaign, topic, or audience segment for easier navigation and sharing. Understanding Wistia analytics within the MarketScale platform is a natural next step for anyone focused on measuring video ROI. For those publishing regularly to social channels, learning platform-specific video specs and native upload best practices for LinkedIn and YouTube will strengthen the impact of each distribution decision.
