Transcript

Hello. Alright. So let's go over the platform and walk workflow today. So you don't need to understand everything in Studio on day one. I'll go over some of the basics right here. So this is your this is the home feed, similar to any social media feed. So it's a mix of channel media, my media, and coaching feed. Now let's get into these channels. So channel media is all content created by your organization. Browse it, but don't worry about managing it yet. My media is the only content you personally created or contributed to. This is your queue. And then over here is the coaching feed. This is where you'll find training videos from your MarketSkill team. Come here whenever you have a question. If we go up here, you'll find the asset library. This is where you'll finish finished approved videos organized into shareable collections. Remember, it doesn't have to be videos or assets you created with MarketSkill. You could store a lot of PDFs or sales PDFs or other assets from your team. Going back to your dashboard, here is the request button. This is how content gets collected from other people. This is where your first project likely starts. You'll be able to create a request and collect some video from there. The record button over here is where you create is where you're able to record your own video. First, you click the record icon icon. You create a room, and then you invite the people you need to invite, and then you hit record. So once your video is approved or ready to edit, you'll be able to go into give me one minute. Go into Media Studio over here, and you'll be able to request an edit now. That's what it sends. That's what you send to the editing team. And when in doubt, don't forget that you have a chatbot right here called Mark down here. You could ask any questions here twenty four seven. Feel free to use this before reaching out to your rep.

Overview

This short orientation video, led by Jennifer Scorpo, walks first-time Studio users through the essential elements they will encounter the moment they log in. In under two and a half minutes, the video covers the three creation tools available in Studio, the four primary navigation tabs, and how to locate finished content in the Asset Library. It also explains how contributors can respond to a Request without holding a platform login and outlines the two-step path from an approved recording to a submitted edit request through Media Studio.

What Is This?

Studio is MarketScale's central content creation and management environment, providing users with the tools to record, upload, and request media while navigating their personal and channel content from a single, unified interface.

What You'll Learn

  • Identify the three creation tools — Record, Upload, and Request — and understand when to use each
  • Navigate the four main tabs — Home, Channel, My Media, and Coaching Feed — with confidence
  • Locate and access finished and published media through the Asset Library
  • Respond to a content Request as an external contributor without a platform login
  • Follow the two-step workflow from an approved recording to a submitted edit request in Media Studio
  • Orient yourself quickly so you can begin contributing content on day one

Key Insights

  • Studio consolidates content creation and media management into one interface, reducing the learning curve for new contributors
  • External contributors can participate in the Request workflow without holding a full platform login, lowering the barrier to content collaboration
  • The Asset Library serves as the single source of truth for finished and published media, keeping approved content easy to find and reuse
  • Moving from an approved recording to an edit request in Media Studio requires only two deliberate steps, making post-production handoffs straightforward

Deep Dive

Getting started in any new platform can feel disorienting, particularly when content creation, review, and distribution all happen in the same environment. This orientation is designed to eliminate that friction by giving new Studio users a clear mental model of the interface before they begin their first project.

The three creation tools — Record, Upload, and Request — represent the primary ways content enters the platform. Record is used when a user captures media directly within Studio. Upload accommodates existing files brought in from outside the platform. Request allows team members or platform administrators to assign content creation tasks to contributors, including those who do not hold a Studio login. Understanding which tool fits a given situation helps users move faster and avoid redundant work.

The four navigation tabs — Home, Channel, My Media, and Coaching Feed — organize the Studio experience around distinct purposes. Home provides an at-a-glance view of recent activity and tasks. Channel surfaces content associated with a user's brand or team. My Media is a personal library of everything a user has recorded or uploaded. Coaching Feed aggregates feedback and guidance, making it easier to improve content quality over time.

Once a recording has been reviewed and approved, users move into a brief two-step process to submit an edit request through Media Studio. This handoff path is intentionally concise, ensuring that approved content moves toward final production without unnecessary delays. Paired with the Asset Library — where finished and published media lives — these workflows give new users a reliable, repeatable routine from their very first session.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the three creation tools available in MarketScale Studio?

The three creation tools are Record, Upload, and Request. Record captures media directly within the platform, Upload allows users to bring in files created outside of Studio, and Request enables administrators or team members to assign content tasks to contributors, including those without a platform login.

Can someone respond to a Studio Request without having a platform login?

Yes. The Request workflow is designed so that external contributors can submit content in response to an assigned Request without needing full access to the Studio platform. This makes it easier for organizations to gather content from subject matter experts or guests who are not regular platform users.

What is the Asset Library and how does it differ from My Media?

The Asset Library is where finished and published media is stored after it has completed the review and approval process, making it available for reuse and distribution. My Media, by contrast, is a personal workspace that holds a user's individual recordings and uploads, including content that may still be in progress or awaiting review.

Related Topics

After completing this orientation, users should explore how to manage and respond to Requests in greater depth, as well as how Media Studio supports the editing and post-production process. Familiarity with the Coaching Feed is also recommended, since it provides structured feedback that helps contributors refine their on-camera presence and content quality over time.
