Hey. What's going on, folks? It's Daniel Litwin, voice of b two b, and I've got some exciting updates for you on major upgrades to some basic functionality in the market scale platform. We have totally revamped one of the most foundational tools in the platform, the search function. And no, it's not just nicer UI or UX. We have totally changed how search works and how it acts as a new launch pad for video projects for you. You now have the ability to search with much more granular, targeting to find keywords and transcripts, titles, comments, to filter by media type. And then again, once you find that content to bulk it and send it for edit within the platform without needing to redownload or retag content into some kind of shared space. Your life's gonna get a lot easier, and you're gonna be able to decentralize with more confidence knowing you've got this new search function backing you up. So let's break down the basics here so that you can start putting this workflow to work. So first things first, we're gonna pop into the platform. All right, here is a market scale channel, right? Pretty straightforward. First things first, you're gonna notice this bar up here, the new search bar. Okay, it's gonna ask, what are you looking for? Here you're gonna wanna type in some keywords. First, you can filter by media type. So do you wanna search by person, by video type here, by folder, request, maybe, you know, write ups in the AI writer tool? For now, I'm just gonna do all types, and I'm gonna look up UGC workshop live. This is my webinar. I've done a lot of episodes and a lot of other pieces of content around it. I've uploaded stuff to the asset library. You know, I've talked about it in other videos as an example type. Right? So there's a lot to sift through, not just video titles. So let's see what returns as I search UGC workshop live. Okay. I get thirty five things back. And as you can see, I've got twenty five videos, two uploads to the asset library. I've got six podcasts, one folder, and one request from that one search. Now you'll see here, titles are clearly being pulled. That's great. Right? But titles are only so effective. What if your video's titled room underscore five seven six seven or something? Six seven. You're not gonna be able to find that UGC workshop live episode if you didn't categorize it properly. But now it can search within transcripts to find the keywords. So check this out. Here's room one one three three six, UGC workshop live mentioned. I keep scrolling. I see a folder for UGC workshop live. I see a request I built around UGC workshop live. More UGC workshop live callouts in transcripts, etcetera, etcetera. So this is elite. Right? Based on one set of keywords, I can now find all of this relevant UGC workshop live content. If I wanna filter even more or organize my view, I can filter or kind of put a date range on what I'm seeing here. If I wanted to just look at, let's say last week, I can also sort by relevance or date, etcetera. Now this is my most exciting update personally. The ability to bulk the media you see here into a new video project. I think this is gonna totally change how you guys approach the launch point of new projects, because this lets you decentralize across your ecosystem more confidently knowing you can bulk stuff together here. So check this out. Let's say I wanted to do a montage of UGC workshop live episodes, sort of an end of year recap. All right. Well, I'm gonna select this episode, this episode, this one, and this one, and this one. Okay. Five episodes. Now I can go up here to create video, and this is going to duplicate these clips and bulk them into a new video project, basically a new video card on your channel media feed that's gonna have its own media studio, your, typical ability to request edits on this content. You might recognize this workflow from the folder view in market scale. It already does this where if you have content within a shared folder, you can request an edit off of disparate clips within that folder. However, that's limited to just folders, meaning you have to tag stuff into the right folder to be able to bulk it together. Well, here, you don't need to do any of that. As long as there's some kind of identifying keyword anywhere in and around that video, it's gonna pop up, you're gonna be able to find it and bulk it. So let's hit create. We're gonna launch into this new video project, and there we go. Instantly, we've got this proofing room, which is connected to a video project on the home feed. I can leave notes on these per usual. I can request edits on these clips per usual. So that's the power of the new search function, folks. It is way more comprehensive. And again, it's not just easier to find stuff, it's easier to begin whole new projects and to more confidently get multiple creators creating at their own pace, knowing that you can combine their clips and create the content you actually need. So in summary, using search in Studio, right, you want to open up search from that top navigation bar, and then search by any kind of topic, keyword, speaker, exact phrase, get granular because it can give you granular results, right? Try searching for keywords that are gonna pop up in transcripts. This may be the most powerful aspect of the new search function is that it is sifting through every transcript, every spoken word, and every recording that you've got in the platform to find what you're looking for. You can always filter even further as needed just by content type, and don't forget the exciting part of now being able to bulk content directly from those search results to send off to our editing queue. Folks, search is revamped. It's ready for you to use, and it's gonna transform how you take advantage of MarketScale Studio. So have some fun with it. Get in there. Experiment with the new search functionality. Let us know what you think, and I can't wait to see what kind of new projects you launch because it's so much easier to find what you're looking for. Have fun out there.
Overview
This training video walks through the redesigned search functionality inside MarketScale Studio, showing how the updated search bar goes far beyond simple title lookups. Contributor Daniel Litwin demonstrates how to search across transcripts, titles, comments, and media types, apply filters by content type and date range, and use bulk selection to pull multiple results directly into a new video project — all without re-downloading or re-tagging content.
What Is This?
Advanced channel search in MarketScale Studio is the ability to query your entire content library using keywords, filters, and media-type parameters, surfacing relevant assets across transcripts, metadata, and comments rather than relying solely on exact title matches.
What You'll Learn
- Search your MarketScale channel using keywords that surface results from transcripts, titles, and comments
- Filter search results by content type — such as video, audio, or documents — to narrow your library quickly
- Apply date range filters to locate assets created or uploaded within a specific time period
- Use the bulk-select workflow to choose multiple search results at once
- Pull selected assets directly into a new video project for editing without re-downloading files
- Avoid redundant workflows such as re-tagging content or moving files into shared folders before editing
Key Insights
- The upgraded search indexes transcripts, titles, comments, and media types — making keyword discovery significantly more precise than a title-only search.
- Content type and date range filters work together, so you can quickly isolate, for example, all video assets uploaded within the last quarter that mention a specific topic.
- Bulk selection removes a common bottleneck: editors can gather multiple search results into a project in one action, keeping production timelines shorter.
- Because assets are pulled directly from the channel library, there is no need to re-download, re-upload, or reorganise content into temporary shared folders before beginning an edit.
Deep Dive
The search bar inside MarketScale Studio has been meaningfully redesigned to reflect how content teams actually work. Rather than requiring exact title recall, the updated functionality indexes the full text of transcripts alongside titles, comments, and media-type tags. This means a producer looking for footage that mentions a specific product, industry term, or speaker name can find it immediately, even if that keyword never appeared in the asset's title.
Filtering is where the new search becomes especially practical. Users can narrow results to a specific content type — video, audio, image, or document — and layer on a date range filter to limit the view to assets from a relevant production window. These filters are stackable, so a team working on a quarterly recap can isolate only the video clips uploaded in that period that match their keyword, eliminating manual scrolling through an entire library.
The bulk-select workflow is a direct response to a recurring friction point in content production. Once search results appear, users can select multiple assets simultaneously and route them into a new project for editing. This keeps everything inside Studio, removing the need to download files locally, re-upload them into a shared folder, or apply new tags just to make assets visible to collaborators.
Together, these features — deep keyword indexing, layered filters, and bulk project creation — make the search bar a genuine production tool rather than a simple navigation aid. Teams managing large content libraries will find that the time saved on asset retrieval compounds quickly across projects.
Frequently Asked Questions
What types of content does the MarketScale Studio search bar index?
The updated search indexes video transcripts, asset titles, comments, and media-type tags. This means you can find relevant content even when the keyword you are searching for appears only in a transcript rather than in the asset's title or description.
Can I combine content type filters with date range filters at the same time?
Yes. The filters in the redesigned search are stackable, so you can apply both a content type filter and a date range simultaneously. This is particularly useful when you need to locate a specific category of asset — such as video clips — uploaded within a defined production period.
Do I need to re-download or re-tag assets before adding them to a new project?
No. The bulk-select workflow allows you to select multiple search results and pull them directly into a new video project inside MarketScale Studio. Assets are sourced from your existing channel library, so no re-downloading, re-uploading, or re-tagging is required.
