The restaurant industry is intense, competitive, and ambitious. The coffee and cafe scene is perhaps an even crazier breed of caffeinated chaos. But with over 400 billion cups of coffee consumed per year, the demand and desire for a good cup is not going anywhere. “The Main Course,” dips into the world of coffee with guest Scott Patterson, professional actor and founder of Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee.

America first fell in love with Scott Patterson’s coffee slinging character, Luke, on the successful Warner Brothers TV show Gilmore Girls in 2000. What most don’t know about actor Scott Patterson is that he fosters a real-life love for coffee. That passion has produced his company Scotty P’s Big Mug Coffee, a business open for franchise opportunities and offering pandemic recovery incentives for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Patterson’s business insight and hard-edged life wisdom have contributed to the excellence demanded of his brand and his team. His growth to date has been a result of wholesale sales and Amazon sales. Currently pivoting away from Amazon, the company is standing on its own offering a direct B2B and B2C sales channel on its website. His successful product and process, he emphasizes, is a direct result of the hard work of good people. Today, the small business owner is looking to partner up with other small businesses to drive sales in the crowded coffee space, and recover from the effects of the pandemic.

The Main Course,” is pleased and privileged to converse with Scott Patterson, discussing the business drive and hard-edged motherly wisdom that is helping his coffee company thrive and grow, even in the post-pandemic economy.
