> Muse users can now describe an idea in chat and have the agent build a tracker, planner or project board that stays updated from connected apps.

## Key points

- Spaces are topic-focused conversations in Muse's sidebar where the AI agent works toward specific user goals like tracking holidays, planning weddings, or managing DIY projects
- Connected third-party apps keep spaces automatically updated in the background, surfacing new data like concert dates, price changes, or savings progress without user prompts
- Muse reached 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada less than two months after launch, according to Meta CEO Zuckerberg on the October earnings call

Meta has added Spaces to Muse, its AI agent, giving users a way to turn a chat request into a working tool. According to TechCrunch, Spaces are topic-focused conversations that sit in the sidebar of the Muse interface, where the agent works toward a specific goal for the user. Meta calls them custom experiences.

## What Spaces do

Meta's examples include a holiday gift tracker, a wedding planner, a space for collecting recipes for a family event and a board for DIY projects, TechCrunch reports. Spaces can also connect to third-party apps and information, so they keep updating without the user asking.

Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg posted on X that he had been using Spaces and had built a BBQ game, an event tracker and a home control dashboard. "Tell Muse what you need and it builds it," he wrote.

## Momentum behind Muse

Spaces arrives a day after Meta introduced Muse Voice, which lets users video chat with their agent and give it spoken commands. TechCrunch reports that on Meta's October earnings call, Zuckerberg said Muse agents had reached 10 million users in the U.S. and Canada less than two months after launch.

Meta did not share a list of supported third-party apps, regional availability or pricing for Spaces in the coverage. TechCrunch names OpenAI's dots and SpaceXAI's Grokbot as competing agent products.
