> HG Insights' Contextual Intelligence Platform ties spend, installs and intent to each account's corporate hierarchy, and serves it to AI agents over MCP.

## Key points

- A sales agent that can't place a subsidiary under its parent will still answer fast and sound sure, and automation spreads that wrong answer further.
- MCP makes data providers easy to plug in and just as easy to swap, so the lasting value sits in hierarchy accuracy, M&A tracking and install data rather than the connection itself.

A subsidiary's software spend ends up under the wrong parent company. A buying signal from a firm that already owns the product lands with the new-business team. HG Insights launched the Contextual Intelligence Platform on Oct. 6, 2026, according to PR Newswire, to address the missing context that leads autonomous AI agents to act with confidence on data that is fragmented and isolated. The release says the platform offers GTM teams and agents a single, connected view of markets, accounts and buyers, and that it arrives together with a refreshed brand identity.

HG Insights CEO Rohini Kasturi put it bluntly: "When the infrastructure is equal, whoever knows the account best wins." That leaves a practical question for the revenue operations leader deciding what agents get plugged into the CRM: what does a context layer change, and how would anyone know it's working?

## Where sales agents go wrong on accounts

HG's diagnosis is that most go-to-market agents pull from internal and commodity datasets that were never reconciled with each other. One company can show up as several accounts. A subsidiary's spend can be missed, or counted twice, under the wrong parent. An intent signal from a current customer can be flagged as a new deal when it is really an expansion, and a signal from an account locked up by a competitor can be chased as winnable. Marketing and sales also tend to target by job title when the better evidence is who actually owns the technology.

A sales agent that can't place a subsidiary under its parent will still answer fast and sound sure, and the more selling work gets automated, the further that wrong answer travels.

Michael Levy, an analyst at GZ Consulting quoted in the PR Newswire release, said that in most organizations, account data remains spread over a dozen separate systems. In his view, whether an agent can reason well enough to grow pipeline depends on accurate account and contact resolution and on full buyer context. For operators running several disconnected systems, this suggests the reconciliation problem may come before any agent they deploy.

## Four products sharing one account hierarchy

HG says Fabric has widened its coverage of companies, technologies and spend. HG has also added a Momentum signal, which tracks whether a vendor, portfolio or product is gaining or losing ground. As HG frames it, falling footprint, spend and intent at an account can point to a displacement opportunity, while growth in all three means a competitor is gaining.

The HG Copilots, which include Market Analyzer, Data Studio and Sales Copilot, are designed to let GTM teams evaluate markets, optimize coverage, pick target accounts, assemble audiences and engage buyers, according to destinationCRM. Guidance from Sales Copilot is now customized to fit each customer's products, buyers and sales motions. When a rep opens it, they see a ranked list of accounts with research, engagement history and intent signals, a suggested sales play, a product pitch and buyer committee contacts, each backed by clear reasoning. The Fit, Need and Intent scoring models update dynamically while remaining deterministic, explainable and adjustable. That may count most for teams that must justify an account ranking to sales leadership, since a score no one can explain usually gets ignored.

According to destinationCRM, HG Agents take over time-consuming GTM work such as expansion sizing, territory coverage, account research, signal monitoring, drafting briefs and outreach, and enrichment. Users can reach them through Slack, Microsoft Teams or the HG interface, or embed them in their own applications through standard Model Context Protocol (MCP). A new HG Superagent reads each user request, picks the right specialist agents and pulls their output together, citing a source for every claim.

The platform also gains Customer Voice, powered by TrustRadius, according to destinationCRM. It supplies the Fabric with downstream buyer-intent signals drawn from a community of more than 12 million technology buyers who are actively researching products. It also speeds up the gathering of detailed, customer-verified reviews and ratings for social proof, SEO and AI citeability, and adds GEO monitoring so vendors can track how they appear in AI search. The speed and coverage figures here are capabilities HG states, not results anyone has measured independently.

## Three ways to wire it in

How the product is delivered matters as much as what it does, since that determines who on the buyer's side does the work. PR Newswire reports that Fabric can be licensed by itself and delivered through API or Direct Feed into a customer's data warehouse, CRM, applications or models. A data team that wants the hierarchy inside its own systems would likely take that route. A sales organization that wants answers in Slack or Teams would be better served by the agents and copilots.

## What stays defensible once the connection is standard

There's a tension built into the pitch. HG's premise is that agents and tools are the same for everyone. MCP is a standard too, so the same connection that makes HG easy to plug in makes a rival data source just as easy to plug in next to it, or in its place. If plumbing levels out, any advantage has to come from data a competitor can't easily rebuild.

> A sales agent that can't place a subsidiary under its parent will still answer fast and sound sure, and the more selling work gets automated, the further that wrong answer travels.

The case is weaker in some places. A team selling to a short list of named accounts with clean CRM records may find the hierarchy problem small enough to handle by hand. The value grows with account count and with how often customers reorganize, which is why the automatic hierarchy updates and M&A intelligence in Fabric could end up doing more work than the agents that get the attention.

## The marketplace is the next signal

If outside and customer-built agents start calling the MCP Server for hierarchy and spend data, HG's claim that it's the layer underneath everyone's agents will have real usage behind it. If most usage stays inside HG's own copilots, the platform is a strong sales tool with an open door that few have walked through yet.
