“You have family inside businesses,” said [Sam Frowine](https://www.linkedin.com/in/sam-frowine-196707b/), speaking about how relationships are at the core of functional businesses. “You have to have, at the heart of a relationship, a trust and regard and respect, and out of that you can solve problems,” he said. 

Sam joined the show to lend his insights on these relationships, and really all relationships, in a heartfelt sit-down with hosts [Greg Crumpton](https://marketscale.com/industries/contributors/greg-crumpton/) and [Tyler Kern](https://marketscale.com/industries/contributors/tyler-kern/). Greg, a long time friend of Sam’s, described the guest as possessing a sort of “boundarylessness,” meaning he inspires a sense of ownership in those he speaks with. 

What followed was a deep and philosophical examination of the nature of trust, and how it makes or breaks both personal and professional relationships. The trio discussed how trust is a transactional force that enters the equation as soon as any sort of agreement or request is made. 

Sam also spoke about the pandemic and how it has united all people under a singular condition. “We have all experienced around the globe a unique point in time when we all have one thing in common for sure- a world pandemic,” he said. Sam discussed how this commonality has brought with it new challenges, but also new ways to form relationships via the numerous remote communication programs. He also pointed out how, while challenges can be divisive, this situation calls for a united effort to overcome it. “Now we have to think about solving problems.” 

According to Sam, we just need to maintain a hope and belief that this is bigger than ourselves, and we will be united through trust.
