Lisa turned a career in the supply chain into a lot more. In addition to having a job, she also turned into a supply chain entrepreneur as Co-founder and general partner of [REFASHIOND Ventures](https://www.refashiond.com/) — an NYC-based, early-stage supply chain technology venture fund that invests in startups refashioning global supply chains.

“What I do today is vastly different from what I did 10 to 15 years ago,” Morales-Hellebo said. “In a nutshell, I connect with founders and enable their success by investment or support or intros.”

She elaborated on her philosophy that, if you typically give, you will get in return – though she is OK with just giving. Building community is also an essential aspect of what she does, so, to her, an industry ecosystem is crucial. No successful supply chain can exist in a vacuum, according to Morales-Hellebo, and one of the goals of her work is to get supply chain people together.

“When Brian [Co-founder, [REFASHIOND Ventures](https://www.refashiond.com/)] and I decided to collaborate, we started by saying ‘Hey, let’s see if there’s a community to be built around supply chain,’” she said. “We just thought it made sense.”
